Hi all,

I'm interested in Team Lotus. especially in 60's.

Now I'm doing  a little research work about change history of Team Lotus mechanic overalls.

Does anyone know good materials, photos and site on web?

When Team Lotus green mechanic overalls had yellow collar and cuffs?

When Team Lotus mechanic overalls changed a patch from Dunlop to Firestone? I guess it's in 1966.

I have seen a overall which does not have both Dunlop and Firestone too. Why?

Which month would they begin to use Firestone patch from? or fade out Dunlop patch?

How is the following situation?

8th April 1966@Snetterton,

11th April 1966@Goodwood,

29th Aug.1966@Brands Hatch,

Does anyone have a photo?

I very much appreciate your cooperation.

Thank you.

Hiro :)

Having problems with Imageshack, there is a full size picture of this on the Forum somewhere.

Probaly not much help but this is Jim Clarks mechanic at Warwick Farm in Sydney

around 1968.

Hiro,

You could try contacting ex-Lotus mechanic Cedric Selzer.  He is still around and has recently published his memoirs.

Definitely Buckshott, who once escorted from the premises, a Lotus annual dance gate-crasher, by picking him up by the collar of his drape jacket, and carrying him to the door...

Green overalls w/yellow collar and cuffs was start of 1966 right through until Gold Leaf switch I think...

1965 they were plain green...

In 1965 it was Dunlop on the Grand Prix cars and Firestone on the Indycars, so maybe that's when you would have seen some conflicting patches.

I met some of these guys at INDY in the mid 60s.   They were all dressed in their classic green Lotus coveralls.

For 1966, Chapman and Granatelli did an STP sponsor deal resulting in snazzy new red paint jobs on the cars and, even, the crew traded in their usual rumpled green outfits for brand new rumpled red ones! ;)

Have some good pix of this but can't figure out how to post them?????

I still have my original 1964 overalls but won't be back in the UK until April. Let me know if this will help.
