Love how Vettel plays everytime little modifications to his helmet according to race location, yet not changing its main design.

Like Vettel's design for Suzuka

Vettel's basic base design has remained the same all year (white base, German flag vertically and a prancing horse on the side) that's what the rules ask for.

Nope. They will incur a fine though.

I like that new variation with the hand pencil coloured effect on his German stripes. Certainly one of the more iconic helmets on the grid as far as I'm concerned and he is very easily identifiable at the track.

Villeneuve tribute helmet
Kimi using this for the weekend?

Does anybody else see the number 1 on Vettel's helmet when viewed from the top?

Not really - but I do see a little McLaren speedmark on his Japan version...

Yep!
I meant that if you turn it sideways - i.e. the front being at the top. The upside-down red part of the SF flag looks like the top of a "1", the extended German flag looks like the downstroke of a "1" and the rear SF flag looks like the base of a "1".
Or is it just me?

Now that you mention it, maybe. If it's intentional, coupled with "5," he might be hoping for his fifth Suzuka win.
Or maybe it's a coincidence. The red part of the SF flag just looks good with the red sun on his helmet.

Could be - although the design I'm talking about has been there all season.

I think this is exactly what the FIA had in mind. It's still easily recognizable as his helmet, just different styles to the details. I don't see why anyone would have a problem with this.

Part of Vettel's "5" reminds me of McLaren logo.

I propose changing the name of the thread to just The Helmets. Then just fill it up with pictures of any of the lids from past or present as you please.

It will be images of helmets.

I'm sure there are plenty of other places where you could find pictures of helmets on the internet.

Though I'm not a fan of his as such, I'd like to see Lewis go back to the yellow helmet. I really liked his 2013 spec.

Oooooh, that was quick by Hammy, he hasn't even been awarded the trophy yet! Doubt Rosberg is going to enjoy seeing that every time he looks over to Lewis' side of the garage and I believe a certain Mr Alonso is still waiting for a third ace to be painted on his lid...
Also I think Vettel is taking the piss a bit but I guess that's just him and rules aren't going to stop him. I imagine he was one of those kids at school who couldn't help doodling in all his school books all the time.

Maybe he can just rub it out before the FIA notice?
Seb, there's new work on your helmet.
Oh no there's not!

I am hoping to see more of the Formula E helmets in this thread, now that they ruined it for F1...
