Now that Lotus have switched to a Mercedes powertrain, It seems that Red Bull are now the only team on the grid using a Renault engine.

Really shocking, the only other is caterham (if they come back)

Now when you look at that they will be the only team with there powertrain there could be some truth to the Fore inda after all.

Sponsored and warming seats with Red Bull drivers, but don't they design and build and run their own car and gearbox completely independently of the Red Bull team?

My suspicion is that Renault is very happy with this as they are planning for their exit from F1, leaving the engines to Mecachrome or Red bull directly.

Greeat, I finally got over the hideous "BMW Sauber-Ferrari" thing, now let's see, I believe this would sound something like "Mercedes Force India Renault".

(I presume that if Renault would actually buy FI during the season, Mercedes will agree to drop the contract supply for a minor penalty, rather than continuing handing over complete PU's to the direct competition for analysis).

In my eyes this is deserved. Best power unit provider has 4 clients, the ones that sucked have half. The newcomer has one client.

So who is gonna pay the bill then? With 2 teams down, Renault misses about 50m income? If everyone pays of course...

That's business. Teams are free to choose which PU they use (the manufacturers are, of course, limited in the number of customers they can supply). If Renault can't attract customers then they have a problem. Maybe lower prices might have helped.
