I saw pictures of a canary yellow Ford GT70 at Goodwood--I am presuming it was the Revival (maybe 2002), and was wondering if this car was restored by Ford and its appearance underwritten by Ford or was it sold off some years ago and it was a private entry? If sold, was it at a public auction--anybody remember what it sold for (maybe without engine and gearbox)?
Now I have a nomenclature question. I forget if the original GT70 (only six made) was "blooded in combat' (actually raced) during the original push to build it, Because if it never made the grid can you calla car a race car that never raced (in its original era)
Finally a question about who should be credited for its styling?. So far I think Spada did the production design while at Ford but Filippo Sapino did the one off Gia version while heading up Ghia.
I would lament that they never mass produced it but the RS200, with its great wheel travel, makes up for it in my humble opinion,
