Obviously handy for Goodwood, but has there ever been a Formula One team based in or near Arundel?

 

Question asked by a work colleague whom I attempted to confuse by responding that I didn't know if there was one or not but that I did lknow the name of the only F1 team to have been based in Royal Leamington Spa....

Did they also occupy premises formerly used by David Purley or was the LEC constructed at Bognor Regis?

Oynx had a factory at Fontwell half way between Arundel and Chichester (Goodwood).

 

The LEC fridge factory was in Bognor Regis, and if I remember correctly David Purley worked out of a section of that factory

The LEC was Bognor Ian. When I had plans to write "Purls" biography, I spent a while looking around the area. David had one lorry, but had a fleet number circle painted on it, and the number was changed regularly!!

 

The common factor in your quesion/answer would be Mike Earle I think?
