Doug Magnon, founder and President of the Riverside International Automotive Museum died last night 4 February after a short illness. Doug did a great deal to preserve the history of our sport. Housed in the museum were the records of both Riverside International Raceway and Ontario Motor Speedway. He also had a stunning collection of Maseratis and Gurney Eagles. He was generous with his time, his cars and his museum. If someone wanted to have a special event to commemorate somone, some time or some marque in history, Doug would always make his museum available. He was often seen on the concours circuit, sharing his collection with the public. He will be missed and I'm sure all the motorsports community will join me in holding kind thoughts for his family.

Very sorry to hear this. I don't remember meeting him, but I certainly appreciate the time and effort he put into the Legends of Riverside events. I attended in 2010.
