From what I understand, W. R. C. Shedenhelm was a reporter/columnist/photographer for several major American publications such as Sports Car Graphic, Road & Track, etc in the fifties and sixties.

 

I was wondering if anyone knows what happened to the photos he shot at that time?  Are they archived anywhere?  Does anyone have an appropriate contact for finding out more about his photos?

 

I am looking for photos that he shot at the SCCA Valley In The Sun race outside Phoenix on March 1-2, 1958; any help would be appreciated.

I suspect you know that William Rex Charles Shedenhelm (1924-2003) last resided in Ventura, California.
If I correctly suppose that his wife's maiden name was Sayers then Richard Shedenhelm (b. 05 May 1966) should be his son.
It seems he currently lives in Athens, Georgia.
