I rate the BRM P57 that won the WDC with Graham Hill in 1962.
The McLaren MP4-13 rates highly too, as does the Lotus 49.

Interesting. I prefer the 1998 car, although there's not much in it.

Trying to find something nice to say about that RB7... ah yeah, at least it has slicks! Grooved tyres just looked ridiculous.

1978 Lotus 79
1979 Ferrari 312T4
1980 Williams FW07

Was going to post the F2008 until I re-read the op : Probably not the best looking shape overall, but I love the livery on the 05' Renault. The F2007 was very nice looking too.
I love both the livery and shape of that Renault. Wasn't F2008 WCC winner, though? I guess it would qualify.
Out of the Red Bull ones, I prefer RB5

'77 Ferrari 312T2 is up there. The '78 Lotus, '88 Mclaren, and '00 Ferrari are on my list as well.

The wrong colour scheme though. It was much better when they reversed the black and white.

Would have to pick 83 Brabham as a fave.
Mp4/4 too.
Fangio's Mercedes.
Phill Hill's shark nose.
And for posterity's sake the 1979 Ferrari to prove that ugly can win sometimes!
Dont get the obsession with Schumacher Ferrari's they all look the same

The Ferrari 156 'sharknose' in which Phil Hill won the 1961 World Championship. A tragic but beautiful beast:

same with me. Those Ferraris are nothing special to me
I prefer this than those Ferraris of 2000-2004
and this one is quite a stunner imho

But for me if I take the years regulations into account, some of the cars posted weren't even the best of their season.
By that you say the RB8 is a better looking car?

More proof that simple lines always look best and create the most drama.

Somehow I think the FW15C is a little bit more beautiful than the FW14B.
And regarding its speed: someone who also competed in the 1988 McLaren (and that one is considered to be a or THE genius F1 car) could, by average, distance its competitors (meaning the first non Williams in the starting grid) by even more tenths of a second than he could do in the 1988 McLaren, although he was half a decade older in 1993 during his FW15C period...
That's what a car the FW15C was. And very beautiful, too.

Ok then, in my opinion it is the best looking car to win a WDC.

Thanks, you saved me the work. One of the all time best-looking F1 cars overall, never mind those having won a championship.
