On another thread Doug Nye posted a link to a photo taken by Karl Ludvigsen at Mallory Park.  The set of photos are here:https://revslib.stan...&q=Mallory Park

I can see one of the Bloor's (cockpit view, racing number 14), B. Harpin (7) and Averil Scott-Moncrieff (15) in Lotus Sixes and possibly R Schofield (26) in the Lotus Mk X-Bristol.  The last three appear in the results on Martin Krecji's 1957 National Races for the BRSCC Boxing Day races. http://www.wsrp.cz/natgb1957.html#224

I have partial copies of programmes for the following meetings and the racing numbers don't tie up

Sat 6th July 1957

Sat 29th March 1958

Mon 7th April 1958

Sun 11th May 1958

Mon 26th May 1958

Sat 28th June 1958

Can anyone help with the date for the photos?  I wondered whether it might have been the 26th December 1957 meeting but the racing numbers don't appear on the web page with the results.

Charles, my apologies for the delay in responding. I have checked the Autosport  report for Dec 26 and it looks as if you are correct. I cross checked with all the Mallory reports after the opening meeting, so this was next in line. The only direct name link is Mrs Scott-Moncrieff in the 6MG. But the photographs pin matching numbers  to the REVS  photographs. The 18 Lister Bristol is the Josh Randles ex Gil Baird car, the 25 Morgan is  J Looker,s, later mounting the bank, and the 26 Lotus Bristol is Schofield's ex Mike Anthony car.

I particularly like the REVS shots of the Erskine Staride on p2.

Interesting shots of a 500cc Bond (car no.3) at the bottom of the first page

Roger, thanks very much for finding the Autosport report and confirming the date.  I shall continue to look for the programme but at least I know what date to look for now.

Dutchy, the front wheel drive Bond was the subject of Doug Nye's recent thread on the main TNF forum.  The title contained WOEIT. Those 500s are great fun to look at: there was a good stand-full at Race Retro yesterday.
