Quite a steep, narrow climb.  I assume it started around the intersection of Wallaby Hill Rd and Wyalla Rd.  The long straight drag up from Jamberoo township was probably used as pits and staging.

If anyone decides to go for a run, BE CAREFUL!

Its narrow and modern drivers don''t seem to have a clue about padding along safely and being ready to pull over and give way. Incident #1 Ricer in a Suburu who had no idea that carrying too much speed around a blind corner is not a good idea, #2 Telstra Ute driving up the middle of the road fast (get outta my way!) and #3 a Lady in something like a Citreon DS6 totally out of control on a hairpin, wrong side of the road, hoiking the inside front, then practically stops...thank goodness for a 1 metre grass verge ):

Once through the steep climb and twisty bits, it opens right up, so I imagine some quite high speeds might have been the order of the day.

No matter how hard I have tried I can not find out the actual Climb or length of the Climb, will look for results in Trove, if they are available they will give a indication to the length of the Climb.

I have no doubt it didn't reach the high speed stuff...

None of that type of hillclimb ever does.

Thanks Dan...maybe look for Albert articles in RCN as that link of mine said that he and Keith were the organisers of Nowra, so maybe Jamberoo as well...Cheers, Mick

PS go through Jamberoo town to the roundabout and instead of turning right to go up Jamberoo Mtn, straight ahead, turn left and you are heading for the Hillclimb.

There are no articles on Albert in RCN...

You need local newspapers.

One of the main members of the Kiama Club was Douglas Hindmarsh father of Ian, the Kiama Club were the Organisers of the meeting not the Nowra Club.

There were only ever two events run by the Club at Jamberoo the first having a very serious accident, Ashmore MG TC, the second Climb the Death of Hart, no more events were allowed to be run on this hill.

I believe that not long after these Hill Climbs the club folded, will continue investigation.

I reckon you might find Alan hiding down in this Kiama valley :)
