Although there are some differences, most of the long term weather forecasts are predicting a dry weekend with cool to mild temperatures.

I don't know your age (I'm 57) and was recently talking to my nearly 82 year old Dad about this very thing. As he stated, "wait until you're my age." It doesn't slow down, with that, let's go racing! Great to have Formula One back again.

Honestly, the winter has felt so short that I can't really say I've 'missed' it. Doesn't feel that long ago that it was Abu Dhabi.

Hard to get excited, particularly as it is likely to be another Mercedes walk over. :well:

What does that even mean ? It's nonsense dressed up as something wannbe profound, and thus as meaningful as the lyrics to Stairway to Heaven. To be a rock and not to roll indeed.

2006 Melbourne wasn´t a season opener, it was Bahrain.

Tyre allocation for the first four races to be the same as last year: Soft/Medium for Australia/China/Bahrain, Medium/Hard for Malaysia. Conservative choice.

Conservative? We won't be seeing any 1 stoppers.

it´s still conservative, as Pirelli promised last year, not to be conservative anymore and to bring variations to the tyres...yet it´s the same choices again, despitate that tyres are basicly same as last year, only minor changes done to the rear tyre, to make them stronger. Hopefully cars indeed have so much more downforce now, that tyres will degarate reasonable fast and we see 2-3 stops.

1.) Not really.

2.) Basically it is not because of Mercedes dominating - at least for me.

Presumably solid two stoppers for everyone, but as Vesuvius wrote, Pirelli said they'd go a bit more aggressive this season. Maybe after the first rounds.

1.) I think it's, it's second year of the new rules, so competition should be closer.I'm not a fan of new powerunit rules etc but for me 2015 will definately be a more exciting year for me than one of the most boring seasons ever 2014 wasn't.

2.) Mercedes or anyone dominating, is not good for F1, if it's like last year...however I don't think they will dominate like that, others are now closer and I believe thet will close even more.

Even before the start of the season we have the first soap to enjoy, Monday morning, just 3 days before the GP will see a court hearing between Van der Garde and Sauber. Van der Garde demands to race for Sauber after having a contract for 2015. Court in Swiss already Sauber to give him a spot due to having a valid contract for this season

Look but never stare is pretty self-explanatory. If you stare at something you lose focus of other things going on and in F1 your likely to make a crap start.

Totally the opposite view. Can't wait to see if the Stuttgart boys maintain their vice like grip and pummel all and sundry into submission. :D I'm sure they want to eclipse McLarens 1988 record of wins; somehow I doubt it. Roll on Melbourne!

Pre show goes from 75 to 60 minutes now, so basically they "rob" us from 7 minutes Mercedes fluffing and 8 minutes of commercials

What a loss  :well:

if test reports are to believed then Rosberg, as reporters claim that Nico has been in full motivation and self confidence, while Hamilton has again been thinking more about another things (maybe his lovelife problems) and has looked nervous and not been in good mood.

Anyway first you have to finish the race, and I´m not yet sure we will see a mercedes victory, even if they are faster than others.

Heaps of European people that can't afford a pay-tv subscription?

Notice that with a small satellite dish you can receive RTL from basically everywhere in Europe for free. :p
