Let's share the love with some other series. In no particular order and with the line between prediction and wish somewhat blurred:

  • Simon Pagenaud IndyCar champion.
  • Jack Hawksworth to win a race.
  • Toyota to win at Le Mans.
  • Marc Marquez to win less races, but emerge with the title nonetheless.
  • Rea to win WSBK title.
  • Turkington > Plato.
  • GP2 with DRS will induce ridiculousness.
  • Heidfeld will finally win a FE race.

Indycar will have a street race that includes 50% yellow flag laps and accidents on 80% of the restarts. The 47 fans watching on TV will claim it is the best racing in the world.

Pretty safe bets:

WRC champion: Ogier

Moto GP champion: Marquez

Citroen dominates WTCC

Others:

Lorenzo re-establishes himself as Moto GP runner-up.

Wittmann wins again in DTM.

Power, Pagenaud and Dixon are IndyCar championship contenders going into the final race.

The only prediction I will dare to give:  An massive interest for Le Mans this year, courtesy the appearance of the Nissan LMP1.

- NASCAR's Chase system fails in the way it threatened to fail last year: someone wins the title without winning a single race.

- MotoGP - Marquez is even more dominant than last year, but on the 2016 Michelin tires he loses a lot of his advantage in in-season testing.

- Indycar - Power vs Pagenaud for the title. However, due to the Captain's driver management, it becomes that rarest of things: a clean battle between teammates. Also, Power wins the Indy 500.

- WEC - Audi wins a single race this year, and it won't be Le Mans. Toyota and Porsche have a gargantuan slugging match for the whole season, and the win at Le Mans comes down to a 2011-scale battle between the leading Toyota and the leading Porsche. Nissan is nowhere for most of the season, but they take the front row at LM, however all three cars retire before midnight.

GP2: Vandoorne wins easily, dont expect him to do a "da Costa"

WRC: Ogier........................

Motogp: Alien Márquez

F3: First non-Prema driver to win the championship in years; Giovinazzi

Le Mans: First win for Toyota with the #1 Davidson/Buemi/Nakajima car

WTCC: One of the French cars..

Indycar: Championship is everybody's guess but Juan Pablo Monnnnnmtoya will win the Indy 500

WRS 3.5: Hope Nyck de Vries but I think Stoneman will have the upper-hand
