Hello this is my first post,myself and my friends have run various historic cars in the last few years including a march 761 march 782, argo and ralts in f3 and my friend has recently aquired a tyrrell 009 chassis 1 from america which we intend to run in masters this year,the car is nearing completion from a rebuild for the current season,we have the recent history in america but would be very interested in what happened to the car post tyrrell and how it ended up in the states,any information would be a bonus to fill in the cars history,thankyou,

Hello Scott

 

I have been following all the 009s since they were first built, and 009/1 is the most difficult because there are now two cars claiming that identity, one that was in the US for much of the 1990s and one that was in Europe during the same time.  I think one of them is the real 009/1 and the other is 009/6 misidentified. 

 

It should be possible to get to the bottom of this with a bit of work.  The question now is whether the mods will allow me to add a link to my dossier service or whether that will be disqualified as advertising :)
