I joined the forum some while back, but due to all the scanning and uploading I never got round to saying hello here.

 

My name is David Riley and I accompanied my Dad Bill Riley and family to many of the meetings featured in the programmes. My Dad was ( is ) a prolific photo taker and has always been keen to share his photos for others to view.

The website was his idea and we soon got scanning both the programmes and photographs.  

 

As you can see from the Contributors page a good number of other people have been inspired enough to either scan their programmes or lend them to me so I can do the dirty work !

 

We are missing quite a few programmes. Please check out the ' Wanted ' page. You may have something in the attic that will save the day !

Welcome Dave, think I still have few motorcycle things to send you. Unfortunately when riding didn't  buy the programmes so the

few posted  were as spectator wasn't much of a spectator in those day's.

Its great your father and you had the foresight to start recording some of the history of motorcycle sport.

Just to let you know, the site had over 1500 page views today thanks to the link to this forum and the one posted by philippe7.

 

Thanks from me and my Dad who is busy scanning old negatives due to the kind offer of the loan of some missing programmes.
