Yes, Bernie will make sure of that.

You have to wonder what VdG's motives are. No doubt he's been mistreated, but he'll get neither seat nor compensation if Sauber go bankrupt.
Posted 12 March 2015 - 14:10
Not a chance.
Posted 12 March 2015 - 14:15
In fact with the way F1 is going at the moment I reckon we'll be lucky if there's as many as 10 cars on the Abu Dhabi grid.

His motive is obviously compensation. Even if Sauber goes bankrupt, doesn't do vdG any harm for trying to get some!

I agree that compensation is probably the motivator here, but what I don't understand, yet, is why a team in desperate financial straits would have signed VdG so early last year. I have to imagine that there was some financial justification for signing him so early and then later reneging on the deal. Very strange.

not looking good I'm afraid.

Question should be - will F1 last the season?

I don't understand either. I don't know, who writes contracts in Sauber, but somebody forgot something for sure.

I always feel like a killjoy when I tell my dad (a lifelong fan, although doesn't really check the news about it) all these problems. Especially when he is looking forward to the 1st race then I telll him "oh...by the way Saubers gonna go bankrupt" Expect thids to be followed by FI and Manor this season. Just...DIE...F1.

Too early to say. I think Monisha, won't survive the whole year or at least into 2016 if they do make it through. It's obvious she's the source of this blunder, so I don't know how much influence P.Sauber has on the team at this time, but he needs to step in to straighten this out and keep the teams good name(his name).

Peter's son should run the team.
Posted 12 March 2015 - 15:21
Despite them being in clear trouble I can't see them withdrawing. Bernie will do something first to avoid it happening. The sport can't afford to lose more teams.

I don't think they will last under current management.
Unless Ericsson's or Nasr's legal teams screwed up royally, there will be at least one driver being awarded damages Sauber cannot pay.
Only way out of that for them is to get new investors who in exchange for equity might be willing to pay off one of these drivers. After this royal mess, these investors are however unlikely to want to work with MK.

Peter's son should run the team.
Thats a terrible idea. He might be even worse than Monisha
He's the head of Marketing btw

I hope sauber survive, but unless Kaltenborn jumps on a sword rather quick,it may be the death knell if responsability is not taken swiftly.
Posted 12 March 2015 - 16:57
The man *likely* part responsible for there being hardly any sponsors on an otherwise cardboard flavour livery and helping promote absolutely zero cool appeal to what was the cool underdog team.
Yes. He should be promoted to team boss immediately!
Posted 13 March 2015 - 00:19
Sauber, sadly I doubt it. I have a feeling the team will be bought out of administration.
Question should be - will F1 last the season?
3 billion reasons to

Lance Stroll's dad could buy it or even Van Der Garde's father in law, Marcel Boekhoorn, that's what Joe Saward (not that I trust him, arrogant prick) says.
Posted 13 March 2015 - 03:56
Sure why not.
van der Garde is a fine world karting champ who will score the proud Hinwill squad many points!
Posted 13 March 2015 - 23:59
It's a tough question because Sauber in it's present state could fail, but as mentioned the team could be bought up.
Posted 14 March 2015 - 01:03
Yes, Bernie will make sure of that.
Because he is a loving and charitible racing fan?
Posted 14 March 2015 - 01:11
Kaltenborn has made some other bonehead decisions.
Wonder how long Peter will put up with this incompetence.
Posted 14 March 2015 - 01:46
It really sadly does look incredibly dire for them...

That is truly the case. 14 cars are near unsaleable. And if Fernando is not back soon that will not help either.

Yep, there's no getting away from the fact that F1 is really in very serious trouble right now. What has occured thus far this weekend has reminded us all of that, and the first race hasn't even been run yet...
