Simple question really, one that I find has been kept under the radar throughout the start of the season.

My main point is that all the cars seem quicker than the Mercedes W05 last year. Just wondering what's happened to directly cause that affect.

Are you comparing to Australia 2014? They've had an entire years worth of very expensive development since then.

The rules were new for last year as well, so there was a lot of "easy" time to be found in the first few years of the regulations.

Every team has had an entire year to collect information and learn what works and what doesn't. This is year two of a completely new design, it should be faster, everyone's designs are more refined.

There's not been an awful amount of talk about what's been improved in the engine to gain that amount of performance out of the engine though has there?

I want to know what exactly in the basics of the 2014/2015 car has been improved upon to allow those extra 2 seconds. I'd also like to know where are the further performance gains because these cars are still far too slow to be compared to the likes of the pinnacle back in the 20th century. They used to whizz by, now they drudge.

10% more power, refined the throttle mapping, fuel, tyres.

I think time lost from years gone by is because the FIA chips away at the aero.
