Some VSCC cars run a Volumex supercharger taken from a 1980s Lancia...

That is clearly a non-period induction system or do they accept it because superchargers were available and what they won't accept is something like a turbo?

The Volumex is a simple roots blower and apart from a few external parts made of plastic (which must be changed for metal for VSCC eligibility) is no different from what was available in period.

A turbosupercharger, as you say, is not acceptable and nor are some of the post-war helical-rotor and vane types.

I don't know anything more than you, Peter. I was addressing principles in general: that you don't relax rules to permit a 1990s ECU or electronic suspension control system to be replaced by the "new thing" unless it works like the old thing.

According to this earlier post in the 'Almost Moves' thread, it was entirely Stuck's decision:

Well, who's this fines guy, anyway. Thinks he knows everything!
