Surprising and entertaining race, just what F1 needed right now it's biggest and most famous name winning  :)

Still early days though, Ferrari outfoxed Mercedes but the advantage remains

8/10. If both teams run same strategy and were actually racing wheel to wheel that could have been a 10. But they were sadly driving their own races separately. Still wasn't sure about who would win until closing laps, so a very high score on my radar.

Best Driver: Vettel
Worst Driver: Had no time to focus on bad drivers
Best Team: Ferrari
Best Overtake: Verstappen was cool
Best Moment: At the beginning I was mad that Lewis didn't win, but well...good to see Ferrari back
DRS and tyres - OK

Best Driver: Vettel
Worst Driver: Maldonaldo(for the sake of being Maldonaldo)
Best Team: Ferrari
Best Overtake: Bottas on Massa
Best Moment: The teamradios of Button and Hamilton
DRS + Tyres: DRS was useless and tyres were good

And the race in a sentence: Probably in the top 5 races of this season

A fat 8!

Best Driver: Sebastian Vettel
Worst Driver: Ericsson
Best Team: Ferrari / Toro Rosso / Marussia
Best Overtake: Verstappen on Ricciardo / Bottas on Massa
Best Moment: James Allison's pure moment of joy after the race - great interview on the beeb. Hamilton's, Rosberg's and Jenson's radio rants weren't too bad either

Worst moment: Kimi's tyre cut
DRS + Tyres: DRS less bad than I feared, tyres not too bad

And the race in a sentence: quite a surprising outcome - and some great fights all race long and all through the pack.

Best   Driver ;Vettel

Worst Driver:Rosberg Can`t pass a tortoise and seeks advice waayyy too much

Best Team  : Ferrari

overtake     : Raikkonen on the outside taking 2 cars just after the start

Best moment : The Mercedes pit wall mumbles

worst moment; Safety car for Ericksons off, perfect opportunity  to keep the race alive with the localised yellow speed limit

DRS; Drs doesn't belong in F1,tyres ok

Race; set up well for a thrilling chase, just didn`t happen today

Rated it 7/10, with a bonus point for the numerous non-DRS scraps in the midfield.

Best Driver: Sebastian Vettel, he was as good as flawless this weekend.
Worst Driver: Pastor Maldonado; battles in the midfield can cause collisions, but speeding under the safety car, especially in light of recent events, is just ridiculous.
Best Team: Ferrari; Mercedes seemed actually surprised by the Italian team's pace this weekend, which might have contributed to some of their less than impressive strategic decisions.
Best Overtake: Hamilton put a smooth move on what I think was Grosjean after the safety car. Bottas sticking around the outside of Massa was pretty nice, as well.
Best Moment: I quite enjoyed the little battles the Toro Rosso youngster got involved in, but I have to admit to being partial to hearing the German and Italian anthems in quick succession.
DRS + Tyres: The tyres definitely played a role, but in a more or less predictable manner. The DRS is terrible, especially with two of these very long straights.

And the race in a sentence: Pretty interesting strategic race, marred by an early safety car that put a significant gap between Vettel and Hamilton.

Delta times??? You can be determined to be speeding, even if you're fairly slow on most bits of the track, if you exceed delta time. Is that now how it works now?

Best Drivers: Vettel/ Raikkonen. Latter did a great recovery drive to finish fourth.

Worst Driver: Hmm, i will leave it blank.

Best Team: Ferrari, one more race where a clever strategy and a decent drive won them a race that they shouldn't have had. Had Mercedes not pitted when safety car came, Mercedes more than likely would have won.

Overtake... Must be at start when some driver gained a lot of positions, but i need to refresh my memory. Sleep deprivation doesn't bloody help.

Best moment: Vettel crossing the line, German and Italian anthems they played in that order, for the first time since 2008 Monza, before that for Schumacher in 2006. Hopefully Pirelli will bring softer compounds, and i think this could easily be between a couple of teams right behind Mercedes and Ferrari, the latter may come closer still to Mercedes in out and out performance and that is good as far as a Ferrari fan, that is i'm concerned. Surely, not many Ferrari fans were complaining today :p

You can't be serious about Rosberg. I mean even Brundle was correcting what he thought was a mistake on part of Mercedes, and how they interpreted Rosberg's questions.

Totally agree about DRS.

@Gragetinker

Rosberg has a gr8 car in comparison, and got through bk to 3rd after failing to overtake massa when he challenged him and passed 2 other cars only when they ran wide, not agresive enough when needed.  I rate drivers in context of the car they have. Ricciardo held him off despite having a damaged front wing and only when he ran wide was Rosberg capable of getting through

Best Driver: Vettel
Worst Driver: Ericsson
Best Team: Ferrari
Best Overtake: Bottas on Massa

Best Moment: Realizing that Mercedes can be beaten on pace

DRS and tyres - I don't like double zone like they have in Sepang but generally DRS wasn't too powerful. Tyres were OK.

8/10

Best Driver: Sebastian Vettel (honour mention for Kimi)
Worst Driver: Felipe Nasr ( broked Kimi´s rear tyre and sleeped behind safety car by leaving 7 second gap)
Best Team: Ferrari (simply fantastic)
Best Overtake: Bottas on Massa near the end of the race (Kimi´s first lap overake comes as good second, 2 cars on outside)
Best Moment: Vettel finishing the race as a winner.
DRS + Tyres: Tyres were fine, and DRS is well DRS

And the race in a sentence: Best race in 2 years,  they should make quali start 1-2 hours earlier to avoid storm.

9/10

Best Driver: Sebastian Vettel
Worst Driver: Marcus Ericsson
Best Team: Ferrari
Best Overtake: Verstappen on Ricciardo (the second time)
Best Moment: Mercedes who realise they aren't going to catch Vettel
DRS + Tyres: Okayish

And the race in a sentence: The Mercedes domination lasted until the second race instead of the whole season.

8/10

8 for me.
Would have been a 7 as the race for the podium was on strategy rather than on track fight. 1 more point for some nice midfield battles.

Best driver: Vettel
Worse driver: Ericsson
Best team : Ferrari
Best overtake : Bottas on Massa
Best moment : Vettel going wild after victory , like in Melbourne ... Showed what this all means for him atm. And Fernando back in the car.
DRS + tyres = not much say ... Surely that's good ?
Race in sentence: very much needed after Melbourne

Best Team: Ferrari
Best Overtake: Carlos Sainz Jr
Best Moment: Toro Rosso/Red Bull battle
DRS + Tyres: Fine

And the race in a sentence: Unexpected

8/10 Not too bad, quite entertaining with good scraps throughout.

The race gets an 8 imho. It was "good enough".

Best Driver: Seb + Kimi
Worst Driver: Ericsson by far
Best Team: Ferrari
Best Overtake: Bottas on Massa
Best Moment: Seb chasing and overtaking the Mercs
DRS + Tyres: DRS is and will always be crap. Tyres were ok

And the race in a sentence: Changed the swing'o'meter  :stoned:

Best Driver: Kimi
Worst Driver: Ericson
Best Team: Ferrari
Best Overtake: Kyvat on Ric and Hulk... until that ended in tears.
Best Moment: When Lewis was whining about the team's tyre choice.
DRS + Tyres: DRS didn't matter. Tyres were interesting as far as their strategy usage.

And the race in a sentence: Happy to see that the Mercs could be challenged on pace, hopefully it means it will be an interesting championship.

Frankly I liked the action in the back for Oz more than this race.

But it was really nice to see some of the strategies pay off and Seb/Ferrari is getting me back behind Ferrari. It was great to hear him screaming on the parade lap and good to see the team in very good spirits.

Very odd hearing the German anthem followed by the Italian - brought back MANY memories of Schumacher/Ferrari.

My younger one is into this and asked me how I knew both anthems (humming along of course)...

I feel bad for McLaren. It's a desperate situation and I cannot believe that they are in as deep as they are. Hope some luck comes there way!

Red Bull are tossers - if TR can stuff them then perhaps they out to shut it and get on with racing instead of causing drama.

I don't know why Marussia even bother?

The Lotus looks wonderful this season!

Happy for Williams

Best Team: Ferrari
Best Overtake: Vettel on Ham/Ros

DRS + Tyres: Don't care

Not bad at all .... 7.

Best Driver - Kimi (HM to Vettel)

Worst - Perez for that really stupid move

Team - Ferrari

Pass - Bottas on Massa was most critical, but there were many good/interesting passes down the field.

Moment - Mercedes bringing in both Hamilton and Rosberg, to gain an "advantage"

In a sentence ....... I think Kimi's drive from the back says more about the pace of Ferrari, than Vettel's win.

First race in ages I've been moved to watch twice. What a great result for F1.

Best Driver: That man Vettel. What a performance all weekend. I thought he'd done an outstanding job to split the Mercedes in qualifying, but in the race he was even better. One hell of a return to form.
Worst Driver: Ericsson's ****. That overtaking attempt was quite as bad as the one by Alex Wurz on Jean Alesi at the 2000 French GP that led F1 Rejects to inaugurate the 'Reject of the Race' award. Special mentions also to another crap drive from Perez and a Nico Rosberg who seems to be in no kind of form.
Best Team: Guess what! Not Mercedes! Who to actually give it to is a quandary though. Ferrari for a return to form that I wouldn't have believed last week? Toro Rosso for beating the Red Bulls? No, I'm going to go for Manor. Getting a car to the end was an outstanding achievement considering what they've been to. And hey, Merhi is now ahead of Alonso in the championship!
Best Overtake: To be honest, if there's one thing the race was short of, it was a great overtake. I liked the Hulk's move on Ericsson on lap 1, and also Bottas braving it around the outside of Massa with one to go.
Best Moment: When Vettel started to catch Hamilton at a rapid rate of knots after his first stop and I thought, 'Christ, Ferrari could win this!'. That moment was worth many races of dull Mercedes dominance.
DRS + Tyres: I love races where alternative strategies are possible. DRS was fine.

And the race in a sentence: Argentina 1998. 9/10.
