Even if its something, they would never dare to take away this ferrari victory. Bernie wouldnt allow it.

I'd LOL. But I don't think they'd act on it. I'm sure Ferrari would vigorously argue their case in front of a favourable jury in the event of any punishment. ;)

Hearing they have exceeded the fuel flow rate by quite a lot but was a technical problem -

Wouldn't this be picked up during the race though? I thought that was what happened with RB last year.

Ferrari having trouble with the Malaysian post-race scrutineers? I hear Brawn is already on his way...

the only way to explain ferrari's leap relative to other teams would be abusing the fuel flow restriction. a team does not make up this much ground in such a restrictive set of regulations.

Either that or everyone else stops abusing the fuel flow restriction.

You  are right. No wait. I got it wrong. You are insane.

Mercedes tyre degradation was visible during the winter testing and last race. Ferrari were gentle on their tyres in the winter testing and in Australia. That is what made the race.

Think it's BS. It's been 3 hours since the end of the race. We would have heard about it by now if it were true.

Just to add, Darren Heath comes across very anti Ferrari from his tweets. Will only believe if it comes from a official source.

Does the 6 hour rule for official results apply for technical infringements/scrutineering or is that just for racing incidents?

Just a rumor.

Race control would have picked up this anomaly during the race and would have requested for clarification/action from the team.

Remember Ricciardo Australia 2014 and Red Bull's unsuccessful appeal?

Yeah, I remember him saying that Ferrari's pace in Jerez wasn't real and that we're silly to believe the team has improved. He's a hater/

The sensor can fail. In which case the team woud be advised to use their fuel mapping to control fuel flow rate,

RBR figured the meter was inconsistent or had failed in Oz last year and unilaterally chose to use their fuel mappings. FIA saw fuel flow rate exceeded on meter and instructed RBR to turn it down, but this was ignored. That is why Ricciardo was DQ'd last year.

If the Ferrari was exceeding the fuel flow limit then the FIA would see immediately - since it is monitored. and a ruling would have, surely, been made quickly after the GP.

Vettels fuel reading was the highest off all when the graphics popped up. Like a lot higher, about 1.5kg more.
Anyway, its Ferrari, you're not gonna take this win away from them. They have some privileges you know.

They won't do that - they probably get told quietly not to do it again... and maybe just maybe we have found the team that will be effected by the new fuel flow limit... :stoned:

Yep, there is a regulation in the special privilege agreement that Ferrari is allowed to cheat twice during a season to get a better result in races and get away with it. They used their first wild card today.

Well, so long as it was less than 100kg for the race then no problem.

And when you say more than ëveryone" do you mean Mercedes, who still have the most efficient engine, or do you mean Hamilton who regularly uses less than Rosberg, or do you mean the Wiliams' - who don't use as much fuel as Mercedes?

Also note that slower cars use less fuel - as they can't get on the power as early and as hard as those towards the front.

It can only help in qually. Unless somehow they have got bigget tanks then everyone else it won't help much in the race, other than help with overtaking when needed.

Sounds pretty sensible. FIA can see the fuel flow in real time and did warn RBR to turn it down during the race last year, I believe they were punished more for the fact they ignored that clear instruction and chose to use their own interpretation of the rules.

e new fuel flow rule wont be enforced until china. ferrari have decided to take the risk and get a sneaky win hoping the FIA will let it slide(they will.) the other teams know they don't have the clout ferrari have and so complied with the new ruling immediately.

Well there were rumours about Mercedes and Ferrari doing something with their fuel flow a few weeks ago and the FIA will send a directive to the teams about it in China is what I think I read

I agree it's funny in a way that Ferrari are treated more leniently. Kimi kept his Aus win in 2007, with an illegal car, no¿

This is exactly my concern! I would despise if Ferrari goes back to having privileges again like in the Michael Schumacher era. No matter how bad Bernie Ecclestone wants to revive the schumi era, its just not right.

And ye I noticed it too, Vettels fuel was really on the high side, higher then anyone else on the entire grid.

I can't quite explain what it is.. but it did seem kinda fishy how much pace the Ferrari's had found, whilst in Australia Vettel was almost 40 second behind the Mercs eventhough Lewis and Nico both did not even push, like cruise mode no effort. Thats a very sudden extreme change. If this **** isn't all staged as a responce to the boring Australia GP then I don't know. Is Bernie Ecclestone pulling the strings like the puppetmaster once again.

Or just a Jeremy Clarkson/UKIP like chauvinist - just look how he stereotypes non-Brits in his blog.
