For me, it's something he said during 2002/2003? at the height of the Concord Agreement negotiations with the teams.  Here it goes: "They think they have me by the balls, but their hands aren't big enough!" Never fails to make me chuckle every time I read it  .  I even quote it against my foes who fail to ensnare me with their schemes :smoking: .

I also read an edition of Bernie's biography, about a court case involving his ex-wife, Slavica.  At that time, an ex-boyfriend of Slavica tried to blackmail her with nude photos he took.  After the court case, Bernie went up to the dude, grabbed him and shouted at him, "I am the MIDGET!!!"  :rotfl:

Anyone has anything else to share?

Was it Bernie or Mosley who said this regarding McLaren's fine during Spygate.

"$5m for the offence, $95m for Ron being a ****."

Because that's the greatest quote.

From my misty memory when the F1 teams threatened a break away series:

"If they point a gun at me, they'd better make damn sure it's loaded"

Two from me, one of which may or may not have actually been said, the Kimi was though.

If I was Sebastian Vettel, having won three World Championships for the team and somebody came on the radio and started giving me instructions, I'd probably do exactly the same as Kimi Raikkonen did when he came back and they gave him some instructions. I'd say, 'I know what I'm doing'.

The 2nd ?

Not guilty

Ironic, with all his money and power, Bernie looks unhappier than most in pictures in which he appear. One can not leave entertainment in the hands of someone who has no interest in pleasure.

After what's happening with WEC, I'm sure Ecclestone will soon say something about grid girls.

Think about that one ... carefully.

Not a quote but remember during his court case when he walked through a swivel door and came back straight out?

Regarding his daughter Petra's wedding:

I had to do something at the time that upset me.

I had to give her away. I'd rather have sold her.

"$5m for the offence, $95m for Ron being a ****."

LOL that was mine too

Firstly because most in F1 knew that was (sort of) true and secondly because imo it was well deserved

OK, that wins it.

Sure, especially the quote "Usually, you can make up for your mistakes. But we are not even trying. We are sitting and waiting for F1 to disappear."

Some self-knowledge here   ;)

well there are too many to list, but recently:"After 50 years of work, I will not allow formula one to be destroyed out of pure selfishness."

the loss of all races from the sport's European heartland "would be terrible," but later said "whatever goes, goes

"It's funny how these people dig up all this money for things like the Olympics, swimming championships, European athletics, and God knows what else to boost the country,"

OTOH, these quotes are not really funny but sad,

Ask not for whom the bell tolls, it tolls for thee

"F1 tracks should have shortcuts"

Formula 1 commercial supremo Bernie Ecclestone has proposed introducing shortcuts to grand prix tracks in an attempt to improve the racing.

"I've tried to push the teams with a number of proposals. Imagine a shortcut which a driver can use five times every race," said the 79-year-old.

"It would stop people getting stuck behind others and be good for TV."

Not particularly chucklesome, but a reasonable interview with our great leader.

I can't remember him actually being funny. Sometimes he's unexpected, sometimes he's a bufoon. Usually he loves the attention.

Just before the Hungarian GP qualifying (our own Hungarian reporters asked Bernie):

- Good morning Mr. Ecclestone, are you excited for the 30th Hungarian Grand Prix?

- I'm waiting for the 60th one. :p

Bernie: 'A million friends who all gave me one dollar.'

I don't find people who are clinically insane funny.

My quote - Not Bernie's.

Not 100% how Bernie said but this was from Indian Grand Prix 2012 when Mika Salo was interviewing him on the grid. The race was held on Bernie's birthday.

"I have understood you are something between 50 and 130"
"I'm little older than that"
