This is a VERY niche activity.

I like how positive we are! Yeey!

Just like it is quite popular to do plane/flightspotting. I can see the attraction to this as well!

I used to see team personnel all the time back when I was a bike messenger in old town Montreal, that's where most of the posh hotels are, bumped into Mario Andretti a few years back as well, had a nice chat. I also have met Paul Diresta and Adrian Sutil. Never saw any teams transporter, mainly because they fligh over here and use rented trucks, so it's was harder to spot. Bumped into a few nascar drivers as well as team personal back when the Busch serie cane into town.

Damn right!

I didn't actually mean like train/plane spotting. But if I can get close enough to record chassis numbers…

Seriously, I first thought about it back February when no one was really sure whether Force India were going to make it to testing, and saw their transporters on the road before they'd even confirmed their departure for testing. http://forums.autosp...dpost&p=7037451

BTW I do about an hour a day on the M20 (the main motorway into the UK from the Channel Tunnel) to work and back

We see them all the time here.  This afternoon John Force's funny car hauler about 10 miles south of LVMS heading up to the track.
