While Horner and Marko have been mainly pointing their fingers at Renault, Marko is now also sending out a 'warning' to Ricciardo and Kvyat it seems. Meanwhile Ricciardo himself does not want to commit to RB yet.

If nothing else it will be very interesting to see how this saga will develop trough the season.

Hemlut Marko just now on BBC 5 Live: 'If we don't have a competitive engine then either Audi are coming or we are out'.

We still don't know for sure if Renault will continue, which would indeed precipitate the exit of RBR.

There's a lot of politics going down at Renault, where the French Government just bought a bunch of shares to outflank Ghosn. French unemployment has risen again for the 13th consecutive month. Blowing wads of money on an elitist sport may be no less sensitive than blowing engines.

Renault should already be working on the 2016 updates, yet they still don't know what to do with this years tokens and apparently still do not understand why their engine is unreliable. So this year is a write-off and when you keep Renault, 2016 is also a write-off. I do not understand the Audi part, because Audi cannot have an engine ready for 2016, even 2017 is doubtful. So, RB are effed for the next few years anyway. It is a waste of money, a waste of engineering and a waste of drivers to go on like this.

Renault . . . .  apparently still do not understand why their engine is unreliable.

Well, there you have Christian Horner's rationale.

The more engines you blow, the more data you will collect.

He says:

"Even if you end up using 20 engines," he said, "it is far easier to make a fast engine reliable than a reliable car fast."

Bernie Ecclestone is known to be very enthusiastic about the idea of 20 smokin' sixes, as the engulfing fire and flames at every race will more than make up for the puny sound of the hybrids.

He has even offered to fund double exploding engines at the last race so that the season can end with a bang and a spectacular pyrotechnical display.

Maybe Renault are just not worried at the moment and just want to push Red Bull to quit.

I bet Horner sometimes wishes Hemlut Marko would shut his face! Can't be easy for him.
