Dot get me wrong I love Kimi, one of my all time favourites, but he really does get bigged up too much. I love his lack of personality (lack of interest in the corporate side of things) but to suggest he is this interesting enigma, it's just not true. He is boring in all honesty.

I don't get his appeal, to be honest. He's clearly extremely talented but he's just downright grumpy. I just don't understand the adulation he gets next to the vitriol directed towards, say, Vettel, who always seems to do his best to bring humour and insight to his interviews.

I am a Ferrari fan but i also do not get how his grumpy IDGAF attitude has made him so popular.

I tried to start a thread about it but Kimi fans got their pitch forks out.

Laugh out loud. We all love a bit of Kimi but please. I thought in his early days at McLaren he was hard done by the reliability of some of the cars he drove given his performances and his title winning year at Ferrari he drove really well to sneak under the radar right at the end. After reading that however I get the feeling Sam Smith's nose must be a shade of brown.

Maybe his trick is not to try to do his best to humour anybody in his interviews

Holy shit, Sam Smith. Dude wrote Four-Wheel Drift, the manual-cum-short-novel for Sierra's Grand Prix Legends. Because Sierra.

 

Would've been even better if Ferrari hadn't thrown a tantrum and got them to remove the Ferrari chapter from the booklet, in which Smith said it was the best car to drive in the whole game.

I always suspected he got so popular thanks to his looks.   That's not to say he isn't talented or anything.

Really? Hmmmmm. I think Kimi comes across as a bit of a knob to be honest. He's also pretty average against the top drivers of today.

TBH. The only driver I could have a pint with, without wanting to pour said pint over their head is Vettel..... Which is odd - because I love it when he has a stinker.

I'm sure driving a Ferrari F12berlinetta with Räikkönen behind the wheel is a thrilling experience, but Räikkönen is not an F12 driver.
