Hi, I have some cine footage from Rufforth which looks like 1964, I am trying to identify the date. all I have to go off is an Etype Jaguar red number 149 and a Porsche light blue number 139. Thanks.

Are you sure it's 1964? I have most of the Rufforth programmes and they don't go above 105 entries and no E types or Porsches.

I take it the two cars are in the same race?
If not 1964, it could be 1965. It's possible the E-type could Brian Redman's Red Rose car which he raced at Rufforth two or three times that season. Is it a lightweight bodied E-type? Do you know what type of Porsche it is as that would help narrow down the possibilities?

I've been through all my programmes, I've not got them all and am missing 65 and 66 but have most for other years.

The Porsche looks like a 356, both in the same race Sorry it is 1965. Single seat, red number 19. The red e type registration looks like it ends in TJ

There were a couple of drivers who competed in Porsches in 1965-1966, particularly at Croft and Rufforth. Tony Liddle raced what was described as a Porsche Carrera and Jim Hall a 356S90.

I think its June 5th 1965 Rufforth. 139 Porsche Carrera A.E.Liddle. 149 Jaguar Etype J.Cuff. Brian Redman also raced a red lightweight came 1st. Thanks for all your help. I'll be sending the cine film off to get converted. I will post a link when it's done.
Thanks again.
