DRS> It's been a long time since I have seen such easy passes down the main straight. It almost seemed as if it was introduced to discourage racing.

The easy passes I recall were against Alonso, who had a significant power deficit.

So a race where there was no racing for the actual lead scores an 8 or 9 out of 10 for some people?

For me, yes it is possible. F1 is about racing, not only racing for the lead.

I gave 7/10 no such thing imo of a boring race when there`s a chase on, Kimi hunted down Rosberg for many laps, you need to be able to get in the position of the drivers. Pretty exciting when the hunts on.

You're easily pleased if you gave that a 10. :p

This race wasn't exactly a battle-filled spectacular. Surprise surprise, a car with newer soft tyres is overtaking cars on older harder ones. That's a pretty low bar for giving a race a rating that's more deserving of an all-time classic.

Best Driver Performance: Lewis. A smiley to Ericsson for the nice start and good pace until the team crew messed it up.
Worst Driver Performance: Vettel
Best Team Performance: Ferrari. Good strategy for Kimi.
Best Overtake: The Kimi and Rodberg battles, and the Rosberg Vettel battles.
Best Moment: Anything with Maldonado. Everything can (and will!) happen when he is around...
DRS: OK
Tyres: Better than expected.

A good race! Very nice to have Kimi on podium again - I have missed him! However, i could see the disappointment in his eyes when he just got 'rose water' instead of Champagne...

...

DRS: A bit innefective. Vettel should really have been able to overtake Bottas, the Ferrari was comfortably quicker than the Williams in clean air.
...

We don't want DRS to make an overtake for a driver, do we? When drivers struggle to overtake- that what makes races interesting! I prefer that than drivers passing by on the middle of main straight and beeing 100m ahead in the braking zone. You know what happens then? We've got:
Lewis
Nico

2x Ferrari
2x Williams
2x Lotus
2x Toro Rosso
Nasr
2x Red Bull
2x Force India
2x McLaren
Ericsson
2x Manor

Groups would shuffle from time to time and we'd have 10secs in front of anyone. What a great racing!

Gave it a 6. Nothing too exciting, but way better than China or Australia.

Best Driver Performance: Hamilton and Räikkönen.
Worst Driver Performance: Even though he's my favourite driver, Seb Vettel.
Best Team Performance: Ferrari. Those pit stops!
Best Overtake: Probably one of Rosberg's on Vettel. Too easy with DRS though.
Best Moment: Kimi getting past Rosberg.
DRS: unnecessary: cars that got past using DRS would have gotten past without it as well.
Tyres: nothing to complain about.

And the race in a sentence... Nice rebound by Kimi.

7/10

Best Driver Performance: Hamilton - never looked in danger. Räikkönen - made his strategy work even if he was helped by the errant Germans and Perez for doing a 2012-esque job.
Worst Driver Performance: Harsh but has to be Vettel for the magnitude of his mistake - Rosbergs was at least partly a mechanical fault.
Best Team Performance: Force India - even with their decent qualifying I would not have bet on either of their cars finishing in the points.
Best Overtake: Rosberg on Vettel in the first stint.
Best Moment: Alonso unlapping himself.
DRS: Nothing to complain about
Tyres: Just right.

And the race in a sentence... Not a great day for the Germans.

Difficult to rate but it was boring for me so 3/10.

Best Driver Performance: Kimi
Worst Driver Performance: Maldonado (that car should get way more points than it does)
Best Team Performance: Ferrari for challenging Mercedes
Best Overtake: Nothing really comes to mind
Best Moment: Ricciardo's boom at the finish
DRS: Overpowered but what can you do?
Tyres: Alright I guess
And the race in a sentence... 2014 was a one of, NEXT!

Interesting race , although racing in the midfield was a bit compromised by teams running different strategies and we ended up having a few "easy" passes. 7/10

Best driver: Well... that's  a hard one....For as much as I loved Kimi's race (middle stint was supreme) I'll go with Hamilton who , once again , was flawless and deserved the win. (bar one minor mistake when he went too deep in turn 4 on the first stint , which could have proved costly but Vettel was too far back , other than that he was ridiculously good in the second stint when strategy nearly cost him the lead)

Worst Driver: Vettel . Sorry Seb , way too many mistakes. He seemed to try too hard.....maybe he felt going into the race , that he could challenge Lewis. That wasn't the case during the first stint and he became errant trying to get P2 back.

Best Team: I've been trying to come up with one since yesterday ...and I can't. Ferrari and Mercedes both looked at each other too much and both did some mistakes here and there although clearly the best teams in terms of outright performance . So for this one I'll go with Red Bull (don't shoot me) who have managed to get both cars in the point at such a power track where i sincerely thought no Renault-powered cars would score anything at all.

Worst Team: I've added this one , because I felt that Sauber chucked some points away yesterday with 2 abysmal pit-stops that cost them track position at a crucial point. Toro Rosso were nowhere this weekend either.

Best Overtake: Though I've liked Rosberg's passes on the Ferraris ( still don't get why both Seb and Kimi tried to outbrake Nico whilst on the outside in T1) I'll go with Nasr on Massa around the outside of T4.

DRS: One of the tracks where it is most noticeable , it exists , amen.

Tyres: Good choice this weekend.

Race in a sentence: Bar 2014 , this was a good weekend on average for the Bahrain track.

That is exactly why they are sparking.

Not because the wooden plate has been replaced with titanium? Anything to back that up?

A fine 7.

Best Driver Performance: Lewis Hamilton was flawless, Kimi Räikkönen better than I've seen him in more than a year.
Worst Driver Performance: Pastor Maldonado and Carlos Sainz jr.
Best Team Performance: Ferrari
Best Overtake: Rosberg's first on Vettel. Honorable mention to Nasr's passes on Massa and Perez.
Best Moment: The moment it dawned on me that Kimi's strategy might be pretty good.
DRS: Quite apt, better tuned than I expected.
Tyres: Not too bad - keeping in mind they're Pirellis.

And the race in a sentence... Not a classic but pretty good, especially thanks to Kimi and the Ferrari strategists,

Gave it a 7.  Although not truly competitive yet, the Scuderia is at least starting to make the pointy in a little more interesting.

As for the rest, I enjoyed quite a few battles behind the leading two teams.

All in all I good race, at least I watched it till the finish, which I rarely do these days.

I guess I've been watching long enough to know that race came nowhere near races like Canada or Spa in 1998, for instance.

I think some people are confusing "My favourite driver won" with "this is an all-time classic".
