Under F1 rules the "feedback" they just played between Logano and his spotter would be banned under the no coaching policy. I wonder what would happen to a lot of the younger drivers as well as the less than skilled drivers if they would ban this sort of thing in the Sprint Cup series? Not the lower series, but the Sprint Cup series due to it being the top tier of the format.

First and foremost the fans wouldn't like it.  NASCAR has a much better ability than other racing orgs to realize who really is responsible for the money.  The fans.  They watch on TV and live.  They buy the products that are advertised and are fiercely loyal to those brands.

Most of the starter series when drivers are coming up don't allow two way radios, only a single channel from race control.  And the race control only thing is only in the last 10 years or less.  Some of the entry level series don't allow mirrors as well as radios.  The kids that make it to Cup can drive. They don't need anymore artificial rules to gin up the show.  In F1 because they don't address the primary cause of the lack of competition they institute rules as window dressing rather than taking the bull by the horns and solving the problem.

Now we know who to root for come Fall!. Busch missed 3 races and this win gets him into The Chase. That qualifies him as The Newman for 2015. What's that you ask?

The Newman - the driver that has no business contending for a championship but can still win due to the ridiculous way NASCAR crowns its Cup champion. Named in honor of Ryan Newman, who almost won the championship in 2014 despite never winning a race and who would have normally finish 14thish in points in any other system.

My bet of 10 bucks on KURT for the Winston Cup before the year is looking smarter than it has in a while.

Smarter than not pulling the trigger for 20 bucks of Newgarden on Saturday night.

Ironically his brother could potentially outdo this, since NASCAR is still undecided (way to be decisive with those rules) about Kyle's eligibility. Imagine if he somehow qualified for the finale bumping someone like Harvick after missing half the season.

So the famous provision "Nascar's president can pick any driver he wishes for The Chase" that got Jeff Gordon on the train is gone?
