just like you demonised Kolles at Caterham last year. I happen to think that Kolles did a great job at Caterham last year, not only keeping the team afloat but actually improving it (as was apparent from Ericsson's last three races in Singapore, Japan and Russia).

I demonised him? Did I? First I knew about that, I thought he did an excellent job with very few resources actually, but then he normally does doesn't he. You're clearly mistaking me for someone else.

No, sorry. That was "you" in plural, if you read my post again.
No need to feel singled out.

Off topic ... When my wife and I were attending German language classes many were struggling with the singular and plural translation for the English word "you". My wife, being American, resolved this by thinking of "you" as singular and "y'all" as plural.

Nope. You got it wrong. Should be yooz (you's) guys. Not the singular.

Ok I stand corrected, directly "kittycorner" to my last post ( that one always cracks me up, just like the meat content in British sausages)

Either way , one hopes that we hear at least some court date  for Sutil's possible  action.

Sutil suing Sauber for $3.5 million

The report said Sauber argued in court that Sutil lost his place due to poor performance, had incurred race penalties, stalled the engine and had been publicly critical of the team in a press conference.

Sauber claims Sutil, who is now a reserve driver for Williams, also promised to raise some 40 million Swiss francs in sponsorship that was never delivered, Neue Zurcher Zeitung added.

As for Sutil’s apparent court victory this week, Sauber team boss Monisha Kaltenborn told Blick newspaper: “The decision concerns only procedural matters.”

33-year-old Sutil, meanwhile, commented: “I am calm about it as I did nothing wrong.”

On behalf of Mohican I want to ask you to stop making jokes about Sauber, it's not funny any more!

Oh wait it wasn't a joke

"stalled the engine".

Now that is grasping at straws...

While I hope the team itself won't get screwed, like there are many women and men working in the factory to help propel the team forward, but I sincerely would like to see Kaltenborn & co end up on a cheeseslicer. Man, what a dumb management team that is to treat people like that and gain money to survive.

But of course it is. The entire governance of F1 is a joke so must be funny.
Lets see who laughs last here; have no axe to grind.

Maybe he'll turn up in Aus with a court order, ready to have the teams assets seized.

I've looked up the story in the original article (Blick). A few more details

  • Unlike VdG Sutil want just to get the money back and not his cockpit
  • Sutil says that he never promised 40 m
  • The case is likely to pan out, like with VdG, extrajudical. Likely that this will not be solved before the season start

I was joking, but maybe he will turn up in Aus with a court order to seize their assets! Oh what fun.

It wouldn't be an Australian GP without someone in legal trouble - even if it is only for spinning your wheels in a public place whilst being dark-skinned.

I really liked and supported this team under Peter Sauber's leadership, but this woman has proved that she is unethical and doesn't have what it takes to run a successful team.

If you were owed €3.5million like he claims would you let it go?

What has ethicality got to do with running an F1 team?

I am surprised that anyone expects ethical behaviour from a lawyer in the first place.

Sutil is contracted to Williams, and recognised as such by the Contracts Recognition Board.
So does this mean that he has signed for two different teams ?

I *think* Sauber terminated his employment, hence the breach.

You don't need to explain this to Mohican. He knows perfectly well.

You credit me with too much. I do not know perfectly well; not at all, in fact. But I agree that most people here tend to know perfectly well.

Let's wait & see what happens.
