This is one of a series of photos my dad took in the 60's (I'm guessing '64). But, I can't read the autograph. Does anyone recognize this driver? Might be Rouen?? Thanks in advance!

My first thought is Bruce McLaren

You know- you could be right! I have a McLaren autograph that looks very different, but the "B" is similar.

Agreed. Looks like Bruce, looks like Bruce's helmet, and looks like Bruce's signature (well, the second half is a bit garbled compared to my 1969 one, but it looks like the photo might have been placed over an uneven surface - the "B" is very distinctly Bruce's).

I'd think it's earlier than '64...

Are there others with it?

I recognize Spa start-finish straight at the background. As for the year is seems to me 1964 still (from Bruce's hair style and type of his helmet). So the photo could entirely be taken at Spa'64, while the autograph itself -- two weeks later at Rouen.

I know my dad did go to Spa and Rouen in 1964. Probably other races/years. He was a press photographer while serving in Germany. I have several other really cool autographed photos from that period. My favorite is Graham Hill. Love that sexy moustache, lol!
