Guess you didn't watch the 1996 race then? That one sure was exciting

Yeah, IMO, greatest wet drive of all time. We'll never see that today because of the rule restrictions and being too "wet".

Marussia-Manor (vice-versa?) was incredibly slow getting into their starting position. The rear grid flag guy was standing there waiting for them to get into position. Charlie needs to have a word or two with them.

They were all faffing about prior to the start. Rosberg tried to bunch the field up but Hamilton slowed even more, which led to Rosberg basically crawling down the front straight so his engine wouldn't cook on the grid. It was laughable.

Are there delta times for the warm up lap?

Funny how Tilke gets slagged off for his new circuits yet we still keep going back to Barcelona and Hungary which are totally unsuitable for F1. Yet we lose the awesome Turkish track.

They are unrelated feelings. Tilke tracks suck and Hungaroring and Barcelona are relics of 80s/90s engineering.

Still, in its defense, Barcelona was designed to be fast and flowing (and turbulence always killed its racing). Back in 2003, last race before they began to butcher the 3rd sector, Barrichello's fastest lap had a respectable 212 km/h average speed. Today, Hamilton clocked 189 km/h. Which makes it clear the changes to the 3rd sector made the circuit slower and less exciting without the slightest improvement in the racing.

I don't think 1996 was racing-wise really good either. Not to take anything out of Schumacher's performance that day, it was incredible.

Much like Donington 1993 while replacing Schumacher with Senna.
