The F1 circus moves quickly on from the race to the first 2 day in-season test. (the second one to be held after the Austrian GP)

Out of the total 4 days of testing allowed, 2 days must be given to a driver who has not raced in more than 2 F1 races.

When
Tuesday 12th and Wednesday 13th May

Driver Line-up
Team             Day 1 (Tue)              Day 2 (Wed)
Mercedes:     Rosberg                    Wehrlein
Red Bull:       Kvyat                         Gasly
Williams:       Massa                        Lynn
Ferrari:          Marciello                   Gutierrez
McLaren:      Vandoorne/Turvey?   Button?
Force India:  Wehrlein Yelloly         Yelloly Ocon
Lotus:           Maldonado                 Palmer
Toro Rosso: Gasly                          Sainz
Sauber:        Ericsson                     Marciello
 Marussia are not taking part.
(from http://www.autosport...t.php/id/118897 and
McLarens line-up not confirmed and is a rumour from the driver thread

Alonso no estará en los tests post carrera en Barcelona. Button pilotará el miércoles mientras q Van Doorne o Turvey lo harían el martes.
Barcelona post race test. Van Doorme or Turvey on Tuesday, Button on Wednesday. No Alonso

(However a quick look at Twitter tonight shows Vandoorne on a flight out of Barcelona and Turvey on a short haul flight from Gatwick......)

Coverage:
This site usually has timing info for tests: http://en.f1i.com/live/
(I will update with links to other sites if covering)
Sky: Rolling updates: http://www1.skysport...on-test-day-one
F1fanatic have a page following all teams twitter comments on it : http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/live/f1/

Weather similar to the GP weekend

I think a lot of the teams will be very pleased to have a few test days seeing as the GP weekend may not have gone to plan with upgrades that were tried and left a few question marks over the new parts.
Personally I'm looking forward to seeing how quick they manage to lap when they use the softer tyres! It will be interesting to see if Pirelli were indeed too conservative bringing the hard tyres for the race (or maybe the soft compounds will only last 5 laps :p)

A few times for comparison
The fastest lap of the Pre-season test was by Mercedes (Rosberg) with a 1.22.792 on the soft compound (the quickest super-soft lap was 1.23.063 by Williams (Bottas)
The fastest lap of the in-season test in 2014 was the Lotus of Maldonado with a 1.24.871 on super-softs. (Pole position in 2014 was a 1.25.232 - medium tyres)
Pole lap in 2015 was 1.24.681 (Mediums)

Wehrlein got a nice little gig as Mercedes reserve driver, it would seem. He sure gets alot of tests. Is he rich? His results aren't that great.

I can't find any coverage apart from the site linked in the opening post. Sky claim that they will have rolling updates but I can't seem to find them :( Edit: I was too impatient with Sky - their coverage is now up, OP updated.
Edit: F1fanatic have a live page which shows twitter updates from the teams. I have included that in the OP as well.

Anyway test underway. Fingers crossed that McLaren get some decent running.

Not sure but Wehrlein can't drive for FI tomorrow as he is supposed to be in the Merc (if well enough)

Great

09:08 - Most of the drivers have completed their installation laps but we can't bring you any lap times nor lap count, as circuit officials are yet to come to the media centre and actually turn on the screens with all the data...

09:25 - Still no timing screens as Rosberg circulates on his own around the track.
(from here http://en.f1i.com/live/ )

.@Macca1879 - There will be but we’ve no live timing screens in the media centre. Apparently an engineer is on his way. Woohoo!

The coverage of F1 tests is just pathetic. Atleast WEC offered live timing and proper result sheets after their official test.

First he will need to be in F1, there are a lot of examples of talented drivers testing and winning championships in lower categories. That being said, I do hope he will get a chance in F1 next year.

Mclaren not come out for long time, only 7 laps done... stickerline-201401161127051.png

meanwhile Ferrari already tested birdcage behind right rear and flow-vis on floor and rear wing...and Mercedes already amassing 33laps and counting....they are going ahead further and further....

7 laps - that's an impressive testing run for a Mclaren.  They're probably reviewing the mountains of data and important info that Oliver has gathered.

Well, Rosberg has beaten his pole position time from last Saturday, so Merc hopefully have been looking for performance a little bit!

Then he really needs to start working on his overtaking skills, although he indeed is a very good driver he definitely lacks in that area. However good to see him get the opportunity.

Merc is one of the teams testing new tyres for Pirelli so that probably has something to do with it, AFAIK there are also softer tyres than what was available for the race

Still think with the severely limited testing allowed these days that they should drop the one car rule.

seems fairly productive day for all teams which is good, with only one red flag at the end caused by STR's Gasly which most likely is about emptied fuel.
