Both Verstappen and Sainz are more talented than Ric and Kvyat, so that statement makes sense.

Yep. Give this competitive Red Bull car to the rookies and they will do wonders with it.

What is this based on? It's very difficult to tell how well they're doing given that they've only ever had each other as a team-mate. Most other drivers might be half a second quicker than them, or half a second slower - how do we know? The reason people are saying they are impressive is largely down to the fact that the Toro Rosso is pretty good this year. People always tend to rate performances in better cars higher even if they think they're not doing so.

Ricciardo has driven the "competitive" RB11 for five races and according to some people he is average and rookies are clearly more talented. At this rate, five more races driving the "competitive" Red Bull and around 80% of drivers will be more talented than Ricciardo.

Marko logic ...

Red Bull car is losing - it's the Renault PU. I'll tell the press how crap they are.

STR doing fine with Renault PU - it's the drivers. I'll tell the press how crap they are.

Don't you just love how bosses of multi-million pound companies can build the same opinions as your regular chav on the street? Good old human beings never fail to fail do they and Marko is no exception here. The car's not much good so let's blame the drivers. If the car is fantastic the drivers are racing gods!

While I rate both drivers as doing really well so far there is no way Carlos or Max are doing a better job than Ricciardo. Anyone that says that is living in fairyland.

Even Pierre Gasly who just test drove both cars says there is currently not much difference between the STR10 and RB11 so how else do you explain the way Ricciardo has comfortably beaten or at times smashed both STR drivers and Kvyat so far this season?? He is the superior driver by a fair margin.

“To be honest, the difference is really small,” replied Gasly when asked to compare both cars.

Seriously, Marko is an asshat.. What he said is a slap in the face to Ricciardo. I fail to see what more Dan could be doing. He makes a rare mistake on his last last q3 run. So what? So he is doing a bad job because of that? Fk off Marko you twit!. Like I said in another thread Dan is almost singlehandedly saving RBR and Renault from even more embarrassment by scoring the bulk of the points this year. He is making the RB11 look alot better than what it is.

Its lucky for Marko and RBR that Dan doesn't have any better options at the moment otherwise I would tell Marko to stick it up his ass and say either he leaves or I leave the team. Then if Ricciardo did leave when he starts winning more races at another top team and quite possibly WDC's Marko might realise what an idiot he was for making Dan want to leave. Marko doesn't seem to realise what a great driver he has in his team. I believe if you put Dan in a top car there is no limit to what he can achieve. We got a decent taste of it last year the way he smashed Seb and I'm hoping he can get back to winning again soon.

Maybe he's not such a bad guy.

Not only that maybe he isn't that bad, you just don't reach such stature by being ********. This guy is clearly not that.

The last time Toro Rosso had such a competitive car was 2008. A certain driver drove for them back then.

In the years between 2008 and 2015, the Red Bull was far superior than the Toro Rosso. A certain same driver drove all those years for Red Bull.

Poor Ricciardo to have to hear about this. Beats Vettel in a semi-competitive Red Bull, scored points in every race this year and is easily outclassing Kvyat.

In fairness to Marko (I cannot believe I just typed that... :drunk: ) the published quote was taken out of context.

His comment concerning the "Red Bull" drivers was made after qualifying and before the race.

His post-race comments were more telling and must make uncomfortable reading for Kvyat.

To be honest, I suspect Marko is probably just incredibly frustrated with the situation this season and because he has no filter between his brain and his mouth, he projectile-vomits that frustration at whomever he's been thinking about most recently.  Like a sort of sociopathic tourettes syndrome...

Still, - I'm sure he makes life "interesting" for everyone at Red Bull.

The writing is on the wall for Kyvat. Many F1 drivers careers are going to be over while they are still at an age that would traditionally have been young to enter F1.

It's like an act on X-Factor thinking the standing ovation they get after their first audition is just a small step on the way to further success, whilst the reality is that that moment IS their success, and that it is all downhill from there.

The weird thing is Kvyat, with less experience, is to Ricciardo what Vettel was to, er, Ricciardo...

Ricciardo is performing excellently. Like a top driver, so it is the matter of whether he looks elsewhere.

So far it does not look good for Kvyat and I am amazed his career-best result is still 9th. Despite him sometimes qualifying well (though it may be due to Toro Rosso setup adjustment tendency too), we are yet to see a truly impressive Drive of The Day performance from him.

As for Sainz and Verstappen, we will see.
