They have previously courted entering F1 in the past (2010, 2011) plus with your dad being the head of the FIA I bet it would be easy to get an entry. I wonder if this is one of the reasons the new rules are being pushed for. Also, he stated that having customer cars () push would not make it more likely.

Are they looking for a way to go bankrupt then?

I am sure todt could float his son a few million. I am guessing they would be looking at a technical partnership with McLaren.

I like it, especially if the race seats are for Vandoorne and Ocon, then I'm fully behind it.

This. My memory fades, but if i recall correctly, they passed all the entrance tests back in 2011, and then owned up that those tests weren't stringent enough. Having been invited, they declined. Blow a budget at the top of GP2, glory forever, income more assured, or blow that same budget to be a backmarker and risk losing it all forever....

Maybe they've saved up a fall back fund just in case, in which case good luck.

there's a lot of speculation in this article based on just a "why not ?". I'm really getting tired of F1 journalism

I'd be quite happy to see it going.......

As far as possible in the opposite direction!

Toad and McLaren? No, no, no, no, no...

It's a Mclaren-Honda junior team, Vandoorne is Mclaren junior and Matsushita Honda junior

Didn't DAMS fail to get on the grid in the mid-1990s, when it wasn't as difficult as it is now?

ART is linked to Merc in DTM, where Audi is a big competitor. Nothing is impossible, but I could rather see them as a Merc customer team (or Ferrari, if dad arranges a deal  there)

McLaren is paying for Vandoorne.

And Honda for his Japanese team mate.

What do you mean,'square thing'.  :)

Wikipedia describes it as 'cautious bodywork'.

The driver was Erik Comas . . .  who looks here more '60s than '90s.

By the way, Nicolas Todt manages Maldonado . . . prior to Lotus, I believe he tried to engineer a situation where he became a TP with Maldo money . . .

Manor do need someone to spice up their track time with.

Assuming they would be allowed to run the GP2 car as is and give Manor a headache
