Hi,

The most important thing is making sure that your battery doesn't discharge below 12.2 Volt.

If you make sure you always have a fully charged battery,  you will get the maximum Life out of it.

Life expectency of a car battery is between 4-6 years, depending on if the car is used regularly or not.

Getting a good battery charger is the best way of making sure of this.

Um, just drive the car once in a while and if the charging system is good that's all you need to do.

Car batteries really dislike vibrations, high temperatures and low states of charge, so keep the battery cool and make sure it's fully charged. A fully charged battery under no load should give about 12.9 V (allow the battery to rest before measuring).

Modern car batteries typically need more than 14 V from the cars alternator to fully charge (at room temperature, more at low ambient temperatures).
