Is there any adapter available to use  spin on oil filter on the old Volvo B16B engine?

Possibly the way to go is to relocate the filter. You can buy 'adapters' for most engines to remote mount the filter. Just be careful/ prepared to do some mods to get a full flow through the adapters. If it has external lines to the filter it makes it very easy.

Last time I did it I spent an hour with the die grinder!. I routed the oil through the cooler to the filter and directly back to the engine instead of the adapter. Saves a few kinks and has less restriction than the original system. Though this was done with the engine in bits.

Hard to find these days is a slant 6 Mopar oil filter mount. Very well designed and uses a Z9 filter which is common to many cars.

16b became the 18b then the 20b and with a OHC the 21b and 23b all known as redblocks

 

so a newer cars parts should fit the basic block
