I was recently privileged to meet Gerry Beddoes. He was taken on by Jaguar's William Heynes in 1951 and immediately set to work on developing Jaguar's Le Mans XK engines. Certainly one of Jaguar's "forgotten heroes", Gerry played a significant part in not only their Le Mans successes but other projects including the beginnings of their first quad-cam V12 "XJ13" engine.
