If you think about it, during the late 90s/early 2000s a lot of series were flourishing. CART, WRC, Le Mans had a great entry list, F1 was pretty good as well... Look at what we have now.

No politics? When factory teams are involved there are always politics. What about the move to a spec series in the lower classes? How do you feel about running the 2nd class spec bikes to fill out the field?

None of the lower classes are spec series.

But I didn't say no politics, what I meant is that the racing is still "pure", no gimmicks, no artifacts to "spice up the show" with boost, mandatory tire changes etc etc...

My bad, but it is a spec engine supplied by Honda and tuned by Spanish firm ExternPro, in the 600 class. I believe there is a spec engine for the 250 class as well. As for the top class. take a look at this explanation of the rules, then tell me the racing is "pure".
