Its not funny
I will copy my post from the other thread as they are more suited here
Looks like Fernando's session is over, that's bad news with upgrades to test, especially if it rains in FP2

Nice unbiased OP.
Great, isn't it?
the practice, Qualifying and race threads have never real OP ;)

I know I know.....I feel also sorry for the drivers. But the whole McLaren-Honda story (and Renault story) is pretty ridicoulos....

Maldonado in action...
Posted 19 June 2015 - 08:21
wow - so apparently that was Fernando's 5th engine. Fingers crossed it is just some silly connector or sensor issue and the engine is fine.

That will be an incredible grid penalty if its true

Arrivabene
He's gone to change his pants.
Posted 19 June 2015 - 08:31
Silly question on my side, but how can that happen? Isn't there somebody supposed to let the drivers/others know that a car is about to move?
Posted 19 June 2015 - 08:33

All you needed to do was this and it would have been fine:

(I am joking of course, I don't wish reliability issues on any team, even Ferrari, especially as they are one of the few that may give us a slightly more exciting race than just a Merc cruise to victory)

By the way: RB have the 5th engine in. Alonso not.

Ted said he spoke to a McLaren person and they said they did have the 5th engine in???

Well this is an exciting practice session so far.

I took a day off work for this Be even better if it rains later and they do the same as the past 2 GPs

I have that from a german website which have all penaltys of this season in. And they're just write down the grid penalty for RB. If Alonso had already changed the engine than he would also got a penalty, but maybe they will update it later or Ted is fantasizing

What's the issue with Vettel's Ferrari?

They complain about no track time, then when they have track time they sit in the garage.

Apparentely gearbox failure. No problem for the race. It's just an practice gearbox.

They need to save engines though so no matter how much they need the track time they don't have the available milage on the power units (unless they have a merc engine, which seems to go way past what they need but I guess even they need to be careful incase they lose a fairly new unit at somepoint durng the season (for whatever reason) and as a result have to get through the season on 3 engines

There goes one set of Primes...
Posted 19 June 2015 - 08:56
So they have just put up the engine usage for Fernando - he has 3 new 5th parts on the car (ICE, TC and MGU-K)

10 place grid penalty for Ferrari for unsafe release of M. Arrivabene

BEN ANDERSON: I'm beginning to think Maldonado is simply using the Turn 8 run-off as part of his normal racing line...

Stupid question time:
seeing as I'm at home and have my laptop I figured I would give the live-timing ago from the F1 site (I do have a subscription) - does any one know how you get it on screen? I click the leader-board tab and just get a page explaining what will be shown during every live session (as opposed to the actual leader-board )

I have that sometimes as well. I usually push F5 for a while and than it comes back after some time.

"Alonso is behind," Red Bull tells Ricciardo, "he's not particularly quick but I think he's pushing." No comment. #F1
It was the lap when he was 6.4s off pace, so I don't really think he was pushing it
Let's hope for a problem-free FP2 for Fernando, so that they can put on all the new aero parts (like the new short nose).
