This topic seems to be neglected a bit in the last few occassions, so here it is.

The 2015 Austrian GP saw the collision of two world champions, Kimi and Fernando, the re-emergence of Nico Rosberg, and the Vettel-Williams battle once again.

Please post your thoughts on the GP.

Best Driver: Rosberg with a shout out to the Hulk
Worst Driver: Raikkonen
Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Rosberg at start
Best Moment: Felipe getting 3rd. Raikkonen and Alonso being OK
Worst Moment: Raikkonen/Alonso crash and Button "box box box...retire the car
And the race in a sentence: I enjoyed it.

2/10 but only because of ALO/RAI and VET/MAS.

Best Driver: Rosberg (credits to Massa, Hulkenberg, and Maldonado - is it me, or this guy is getting better? He has been providing some good races, and the majority of the DNF's weren't his fault this year)
Worst Driver: Raikkonen
Best Team: Mercedes (credits to Williams, but bad pitstop for Bottas)
Best Overtake: Bottas on Hülkenberg
Best Moment: Alonso start
And the race in a sentence: Not bad. More interesting from the championship standpoint.

Best Driver: Massa/Maldonado
Worst Driver: Kimi
Best Team: Dunno. Williams?
Best Overtake: Maldonado vs Kvyat and Nasr.
Best Moment: Felipe's son
DRS + Tyres: Anonymous. Long may they stay that way.

And the race in a sentence: Better than Canada, except the "wrong" drivers had a better weekend than the "right" drivers. That makes races look worse than they are. Still mediocre, though.

Rated it 5/10.

Best Driver: Vettel, pushed right up to the end and put in some impressive laps in the meantime.
Worst Driver: Until a technical problem can explain his loss of control, Räikkönen.
Best Team: Mercedes, of course.
Best Overtake: I liked Nasr taking a place from one of the Red Bulls outside the DRS straights, probably Ricciardo.
Best Moment: Alonso's starts continue to impress, Maldonado saving his car from going head-first into the barriers at the start/finish-straight was interesting as well.
DRS + Tyres: I think I've said all I want to say about this a couple of times before.
And the race in a sentence: Another boring walkover for Mercedes, but with some decent action further down the field.

Best Driver: Hulkenberg/Massa
Worst Driver: Maldonado, for going off the track and completely not expecting a driver to defend while he was defending against him the laps before
Best Team: Williams
Best Overtake: Massa safely overtaking Arrivabene for 71 laps
Best Moment: Maldonado not screwing Max his points finish
DRS + Tyres: I have seen both of them
And the race in a sentence: Not the most boring, but also not the most thrilling

I gave it 6/10 because there was plenty of action behind the first 4 with some impressive driving throughout but basically it was just another Mercedes were guaranteed to win anyway bar mishaps.

They are leagues quicker in race trim than the rest and this combined with the ever more punitive penalty system, which I cannot discuss in moderate terms, is and has been damaging the racing let alone the drivers' individual efforts.

Best Driver: Hulk or Massa
Worst Driver: KIMI :rotfl:
Best Team: Mercedes and Williams
Best Overtake: Quite a few goodies. I liked Ricciardo on Nasr, Bottas on Hulk, Maldonado on Max.
Best Moment: Maldo going insane several times.
DRS + Tyres: Didn't really factor.

And the race in a sentence: Good from 3rd backward. Dull at the front.

Best Driver: Rosberg
Worst Driver: Erickson - jumped the start, then slammed on the brakes creating mayhem behind.
Best Team: The Force - jumping over Lotus in the WCC.
Best Overtake: Rosberg on Hamilton was the most significant, but there were many back in the pack.
Best Moment: KR and FA unhurt.
DRS + Tyres:

And the race in a sentence: Best this year, though not necessarily for the right reasons.

A decent race with some nice battles through the field and tires that actually was not a joke but held up.

Nico Rosberg passing Hamilton at the start and holding up through the race. Good.

Another Mercedes win. Bad. No one cares anymore.

Vettel/Massa battle after Ferraris botched pit stop.

Nico Hulkenbergs race.

The Toro Rosso boys fighting.

Tires could be driven on and not changed every 10 laps.

Pastor Maldonado scoring and sliding wide on straights not once but twice.

McLaren-Honda giving us more entertainment. Sad but it's so bad now it's actually enjoyable in its own special way.

Kimi Räikkönen continuing to fall from grace. Sad but also a bit fun in a morbid kind of way.

Decent race.

Best Driver: Rosberg/ Hulk
Worst Driver: Kimi- qualifying to the race, a weekend to forget
Best Team: Force India- 2 cars in the top 10, and still awaiting the B-spec
Best Overtake: Maldonado on Verstappen- purely for style, and Verstappen thought it safer to head for the hills...
Best Moment: One of Maldonado's saves
DRS + Tyres: Tyres racy enough, but don't seem to be giving the pace increase that Pirelli estimated. DRS almost a non-event, so that was good.

And the race in a sentence: Some nice racing through the field.

How many here rewatch these races before the next one?  How many times, 2 times, 3 times?  5 times?

You'd have to have a pretty boring life to want to rewatch that 5 times.  Would probably need to tie someone to a chair and hold a gun to their head.

Best Driver: Rosberg but mentions also for Massa and the Hulk
Worst Driver: -
Best Team: Williams
Best Overtake: -
Best Moment: Kimi and Alonso getting out their cars without injury
DRS + Tyres: Ok

And the race in a sentence: Fairly processional stuff. Stunning setting at least.

Best Driver: A toss up between Hulkenberg and Massa.
Worst Driver: Raikkonen - He lost the rear end, and shares responsibility for the qualifying goof with the team.
Best Team: Force India, two drivers in the points, but more importantly, they've somehow managed to get 5th in the constructors with this piece of crap car which has had zero updates. It's impressive. Looking forward to what they do with the updates.
Best Overtake: Bottas on Hulk
Best Moment: Kimi and Alonso collide without injury
And the race in a sentence: Like Canada this race sorely lacked a battle for the win, however there was enough going on in the midfield and the final podium place for it to be worthy of a 7.

Best Driver: Erm...... Massa did a pretty good job - But Rosberg nailed it in the best equipment. That's all you can ask for.
Worst Driver: Kimi had a stinker all weekend. Maldonado is...... Maldonado. I've even resorted to calling my last relationship "A Maldonado"....
Best Team: Merc
Best Overtake: The most significant was Nico on Lewis at the start
Best Moment: When my new, much, much nicer missus brought me a ham and cheese toastie and a bottle of Old Speckled Hen.
DRS + Tyres: Coefficient of drag and the coefficient of friction.

And the race in a sentence: Pretty **** for a Hamilton fan....... but there has been worse...... faaaaaarrrrrrr worse.

3/10. The only really enjoyable part was the battle for 3rd in the final laps. Oh, and Maldonado.

Best Driver: Rosberg, Hülkenberg, Massa all did well.
Worst Driver: Kimi, with Ericsson a close second.
Best Team: Obviously Mercedes, but also a shout out to Williams.

Worst Team: Obviously McHonda, but also a shout out to Ferrari.
Best Overtake: Bottas on the Hulk.
Best Moment: Maldonado drifting down the main straight while overtaking Verstappen.
DRS + Tyres: Tires were good. DRS was also pretty well balanced, I guess as good as it's ever gonna be.

And the race in a sentence: Utter boredom.

I gave it a generous 6 just cos I'm a c#nt even though I thought it was a 3/10 in reality.

I think it was a combination of things, Merc just turning it up and scampering off into the distance, Ferrari being nowhere in relation to them and overtaking being extremely difficult all round the field unless you had a significant top speed advantage or tires that were much fresher.

Best Driver I'd say was Rosberg, got the start, defended his position and then just had the pace over Lewis the entire race it has to be said.

Worst Driver I'm going to say Kimi followed by Ericsson.

Best Team were Mercedes by a long way, pace, pitstops and more pace.

Worst Team(s) McLaren Honda tied with Ferrari. Seeing Button retire just after he had served his penalty was just ridiculous to see and Ferrari costing themselves and Seb a podium was very poor.

Best Overtake Bottas on Hulkenberg.

Best Moment Maldonado saving it after his car had lost downforce as he had his DRS open and he pulled out of Max's slipstream, that showed supreme skill to prevent that from ending in the barriers.

DRS+Tyres The tyres were good, allowed for the guys to push and the DRS was maybe into the wrong turn considering the short braking zone or maybe the DRS zone was too short in length.

The race in a sentence I nearly turned off for the first time ever whilst watching F1.

For those who wish for races without the "roll of the dice" random happenings, you got what you paid for. And some people actually pay to watch such boring crap?

Hot tip from my bookie, a Mercedes will win the next race. You heard it here first.  lol

5/10 - not bad, but not great either.

Best driver:  Rosberg, but very close with Bottas, Massa and, shockingly, Maldonado.

Worst driver:  Raikkonen - for the second race in a row he dropped it, but this time it could have had serious consequences.

Best team:  Mercedes, with Williams a close second, and Force India also performed well.

Wost team:  Need one ask?  McLaren are enduring a season even worse than 1979.  Ferrari were disappointing, but they'd have had to have been b****y awful to beat McLaren!

Best overtake:  Tie between Bottas on Hulkenberg and Maldonado's two overtakes in two corners.

Best moment:  Alonso and Raikkonen climbing unhurt from their cars.  Massa's son was amusing in his interview with Suzi Perry and DC.

DRS and tyres:  DRS seemed OK, tyres a touch too hard, but at least they weren't as prone to degrading as they sometimes are.

Race in a sentence:  Not a GP that will enter the annals of history - they can't all be.  That said, we could do with a couple of great races later this year.

There's this creeping dullness that I can't explain with arguments though.

I've no idea, but it seems the wailing on here is infectious and results in folks acting as if an F1 race where a guy on the front row wins is unusual, or an F1 season where a car is better than the rest is unusual, or that we've never seen dominance before. Their memories can't be this short surely. And they keep on watching.

We watched it in delay (by an hour). Got about fifteen minutes in and decided to speed things up to 6x playback speed. Much better! Watched the pitstop phase and the last 7 laps at normal speed (regrettably as nothing much changed bar Ricciardo getting past Nasr and Maldonaldo finally nabbing Verstappen).

All in all, boring. But slightly better than the last race. 4/10.

First time I've watched an F1 race in such a disinterested way in about 11 years.

It was fairly terrible. In fact this season as a whole is bordering on becoming one of the worst I can remember. The only thing that saved 2014 were the battles for the lead during races and they are absent in 2015. And also the fairly even Red Bull vs Williams vs Alonso battle for the upper points. Right now we have a static battle for 1st and 2nd, whoever leads out of turn 1 wins and behind that Ferrari are too far ahead of Williams who are too far ahead of everyone else. I mean you could completely remove Mercedes from this season and it would still be terrible. The gaps between the teams are just so big.

One of the worst in living memory because all the interesting things were killed off very early. Both Mclarens out, Hamilton penalty killed the fight for lead, Ferrari too slow, so basically a boring precession from early on.

Worst Driver: Raikkonen
Best Team: Williams certainly maximized their race.
Best Overtake: Maldonado on Verstappen
Best Moment: Hard to think of any really.
DRS + Tyres: DRS could be more powerful, tyres were too hard.

And the race in a sentence: Decent.

I agree. I remember years ago when there was all this talk of the sport going downhill, but in the last few races I really have felt that disconnect towards the sport as a whole. Its not just "My favorite drivers aren't winning" either. The show element of the racing (Speed, sound) is gone and the cars are so spread out there is basically no racing either.

Best Driver: Rosberg. Quali mistake aside, he had Lewis owned all weekend.
Worst Driver: Raikkonen
Best Team: The Toro Rossos surprised me, given their lack of power and wrong climatic setup.
Best Overtake: One of the ones with Nasr - can't remember as I was watching it at 1am this morning!
Best Moment: Maldonado's tank slapper
DRS + Tyres: DRS good, tyres actually pretty good - an on the edge one-stopper so drivers had to work late on.

And the race in a sentence: Not bad. Wasn't bored at any point really, although the lead battle never materialised. 7/10.

Best Driver: Let's say Hulkenberg
Worst Driver: Räikkönen.
Best Team: Mercedes, although an honorable mention for FI
Best Overtake: Probably FA with his good start
Best Moment: Maldonado trying to overtake Verstappen several times, and the actual overtake where he nearly lost the car (good recovery btw)
DRS + Tyres: Can't we allow DRS for Honda and Renault powered cars all the time?!?!
And the race in a sentence: Overall rather boring with yet another walkover for Mercedes, but the battle for third and seventh at the end was nice.

Any person watching any race 5 times before the next one probably has issues. I saw last seasons Bahrain race 3 times over the year, but there's definitely a spark missing at the moment. I also find Lewis's approach of selling for 2nd extremely disappointing. How dare he be so level headed.

Best Driver:Rosberg
Worst Driver:Kimi
Best Team: Mercedes
Best Overtake: Mad-Maldonado on Mad Max
Best Moment: My dog humped my gf's leg on about lap 16
DRS + Tyres:DRS isn't a bad idea on this track. The tyres: I'm tyred of talking about them. See what I did.
And the race in a word: Meh.

I didn't watch live but taped it for viewing when I had nothing on my schedule. Washing my windows and trimming my nose hair was more important. I used to clear my schedule and religiously watch every race live. And here in Canada that sometimes meant 2 or 3 AM. But for the last two races I didn't bother watching live, and I now don't watch qualifying. On Saturday I went to Mosport and watched vintage racing, and that was more competitive.

And when Vettel was winning his 8 in a row, I found that a dark splotch on the history of Formula One too. If I have any drivers I like in a race, I do not rate that race based on where the drivers finished but rather the actual quality of the race.

I'm a mega-fan of HInchcliffe but his win at NOLA was based on luck and the last half of the race was crap.

I don't have any problems watching Rosberg win, but after the start, the battle for the win went out the window. Literally. Mercedes have such a reserve of performance that they could afford to turn everything down, make sure their drivers never challenged each other, and made the rest of the race incredibly farcical and pathetic.

For those who wish for races without the "roll of the dice" random happenings, you got what you paid for. And some people actually pay to watch such boring crap?

Hot tip from my bookie, a Mercedes will win the next race. You heard it here first.  lol

"I remember waking up in the morning to watch the start of the race and then going to sleep, and then waking up when it ended because I already knew what would happen. I am pretty sure a lot of people were doing that today."

Of course the day would have been better if F1 had a random draw for grid positions like IndyCar did at Texas a few years back. Let's determine the winners by luck, instead of skill or team preparation.

Best Driver: Massa (passed Vettel in the pits but a flawless race) and Hulkenberg (defended valiantly against Bottas who was in a far superior car)
Worst Driver: Kimi (I think that's unanimous)
Best Team: Mercedes (had their sh!t together for this race).
Best Overtake: Alonso on Kimi (passes are normally to the left or right. Seldom over top. Best that nobody got hurt)
Best Moment: Berger calls Rosberg "Lewis" and doesn't realize his mistake.
DRS + Tyres: iiwii (It is what it is)

And the race in a sentence: A Little disappointing (would have loved to see what Alonso's new Mac could do.) 6/10
