There's been a lot made lately of the rules and regs that make the cars into the ugly things that they are currently.

Thankfully, a Dutch designer has put some ideas together, and according to Scarbs, the ideas are not far fetched at all ...

What do you think? Personally, I think all the ideas look absolutely stunning. If F1 wants 'cars that kids want to hang on their bedroom walls' one again, this is it!!

looks damn ugly, the current mercedes is much nicer, plus closed cockpit is not f1 of course.

I love this idea that F1 cars used to be a paragon of beauty:

 

 

 

 

They have always been designed with speed and practicality over looks. It makes sense, you can't win a championship in a gorgeous car if the aero or air-intake is rubbish.

 

You want a car to sound beastly and look sexy, then drive one of these:

They look awesome especially the noses which compared to the current stuff are dead on but you have to wonder if these designs would actually function aerodynamically.

no Idea why AMUS and others push these "Colani's wet dreams".

 

BTW: As Kid I never fancied the look of F1 cars (thoug I watched; together with the racing the cars had this rolling billboard fascination for me),

I always wanted a Countach or F40.

 

And also this is probably the 15th thread about the look of F1 cars or these melted "echoes of not wanted future"
