That's me in the background in the Corfty piece. Right hand side, wearing a white MS baseball cap.

They only have one 'big star' on the Sunday. Today, it was without doubt Rossi, who has never previously attended. I suspect Britney Nico may feel a bit like he's playing second fiddle.

He can take Roscoe and Coco there as well! No dogs allowed onsite at the FoS.

Stil that don't explain his lack of apareance in Goodwood becuase the Glastonburry festival is primarly in the late evining....can't understand this tbh

Yeah, Rossi is without a doubt the 'big star' today even if Hamilton would have attend it stil would be the case, but he could have attend yesterday for example...

Are you sure he isn't going? He's still on the program description for the Sky F1 coverage of Goodwood. Maybe he's just turning up for that at 3pm - I know he worked with them last year.

Maybe he's at croft to watch his brother in BTCC for some of today?
That would make sense: https://twitter.com/...779487721492480
Croft in the morning, Goodwood in the afternoon.

Vale, Nico and Lord March
Posted 28 June 2015 - 12:33
Wow! If anything could demonstrate that Valentino Rossi is the greatest motor sport star of the current era, that was it. And he knows so well how to milk it for the maximum effect - in a good way.
Posted 28 June 2015 - 12:38
Would have been funny after the race yesterday if Marquez would also attend
Posted 28 June 2015 - 12:42
Ah yeah Jason Plato....he did a fine trick today....
Anyway back to Goodwood please

Perhaps it's simply that the Merc drivers take it in turn year on year to drive at Goodwood?
Posted 28 June 2015 - 13:04
Apparently Vale will be driving the Mazda 787 up the hill ... how cool is that ?

Hamilton was every year so far at Goodwood, so no (and Rosberg was every year since he's driving for Merc excerpt of last year, perhaps they're swapping now every year) I think that his new contract includes less commitments, which would be really dissapointing if it also includes Goodwood.
Anyway back to the topic....

Fantastic camera angle for much of that interview with Vale - Suzie Perry's bum....
Seriously though, that was a fun interview.

"Can I keep him, Ma? Please? Can I?"

Kenny Roberts being interviewed while a F1 car from a few years ago passes near by, saying something along the lines of 'I bet you wished they sounded like that now'. I wonder how many thousands of times that was said at the weekend.
Posted 29 June 2015 - 15:56
I totally understand that commentators have second jobs(because they don't get paid enough in the first one?) but Croft looks like a complete dingleberry in that Ferrari outfit.
Posted 29 June 2015 - 16:00
Kenny is for me one of the greatest sportsman that has ever lived and he shoots from the hip like no other!
I think Rossi, though for me he has his faults on track, is without doubt one of the greatest sportsmen in Europe if not the world, I doubt many love him more than even a Messi or Ronaldo to be honest.
As they always say, every race is a home race for Vale, and quite how he has maintained his focus and drive since 1996 I have literally no idea.
And he has more charisma than the whole F1 paddock for the last 10 years put together, no comparison whatsoever with any of them.
I did feel Sky did a woeful job with the footage, hardly anything interesting, Nat was very good as usual actually, but Croft, dear Lord man shut up he is not a great person to front shi and the whoe thing was so F1 centric it made me chuckle.
