Bowyer dives into the pits at the last second. Most of the field follows suit.

Chad wants to repave the track. No red.

41 should have stayed out.

All hell breaking loose in the pack. Those guys on old tyres caused a big bottleneck.

Too late for Kurt, took too long to pass Bowyer.

There it is. Looks like Hornish snuck a top 10 by staying out on the last caution.

Kurt's given away a few ones at this juncture.

Even the #48 can't make the tyres last *that* long.

Busch 1-2, one step closer to chase for Kyle though can't afford another bad finish. Championship level recoveries for 41 and 4 for what it's worth with the system.
NBC takes over from here.

Honestly, I think Kurt was blocking a bit for his brother there. He got around Bowyer and fought like hell to keep him back. Can't blame him. He's already in the Chase and he helped his bro out after all he's been through. First time they've finished 1-2. Never would have guessed that.

Thanks to Dish and the broadcasters for cutting the race 10 laps short.

I love NASCAR at Sonoma, the lines and the curbs are freaky.

You may have taken that from the press conference or something.

Kurt only got past Bowyer coming to the last lap and got away easy almost catching up with Kyle. If you ask me I think he could have muscled past Clint earlier and got around Kyle. But he didn't and ended up helping his lil brother when he was harassing the #15, costing both of them time, perhaps on purpose... Gene Haas may be reading this. Typical Kurt at this race track. Once I think I saw him slid past like 10 cars in one lap and somehow come up short.

Jim Thurman fantasy made flesh.

I have to admit that jp is quite the master at that sort of thing

And, again, I don't dislike Jeff at all. Actually, I came to like him once he grew up and realized everything his stepdad told him wasn't the absolute and entire truth ;)  (that puts Jeff far ahead of many media members).

BTW, I recently had a noted motorsports writer confirm to me that Bickford was his only source for the tales...and that he never questioned them

Best Sonoma race I remember. Usually WG delivers all this craziness and fun.

That helps avoid the bit-match for copyright infringement. Not really necessary as Nascar uploads the races themselves now.
