Stil no thread for todays race? Whats up guys?

Todays race will be more cloudy and therefore cooler than yesterdays qualifying, even rain is not out of discussion.

-Will a Macca finish this race? When are their gonna to retire today?
-Can Toro Rosso confirm their long run pace from the practice?
-Is Maldonado making it three in a row?
-Will Kimi finally finish ahead of Vettel?
-Who will be best of the rest? Williams, Ferrari or even Red Bull?
-Who is leading after turn 1?
-And finally will Rosberg spoil the british party?

Yes, Alonso to finish and Button out just before half.
TR will do well, not quite as good as practise.
Pastor will finish 11th.
Kimi will be second with Bottas third and Rosberg winning.
Williams, Ferrari or even Red Bull? Ferrari for second. Red Bull will impress relatively.
Hamilton.
Yes.

They found and fixed the problem on Max' car in qualifying (wastegate) so expect at least one TR trying to move up through the field   ;)

Interesting penaltys in the GP2 race for exceeeding the track limits. That could be funny today....

Should be an easy streets win for Lewis today, seems far more comfortable in cooler conditions than Rosberg has. Mac 1-2 with Bottas in 3rd. Can't see too much excitement beyond lap 2 or 3 as drivers get wary of track limits and tyres should be fairly wearing.

Not going to be a classic that's for sure!

  1. Who knows! Let's hope so, they desperately need the information and experience.
  2. Verstappen seemed to struggle yesterday, but they looked quite solid on the whole. Double points will be tough but might be possible!
  3. He's done quite well this year, and had a rather unlucky run in the first few races. Anything is possible it seems; both the good and the bad.
  4. Räikkönen already finished ahead of Vettel before, more than once actually. He needs a good race, so hopefully he'll make the most of his grid position.
  5. Williams has been notoriously hard to overtake, so they look like the safe bet. Williams has its unique take on 'strategy' though, so who knows.
  6. Hamilton.
  7. Not at all - though Silverstone does owe us a battle between the two Mercedes drivers. Last year fizzled out before it had even begun. That said, when - aside from starts - has Rosberg last come out on top in an on-track battle with Hamilton?

Heard the opposite yesterday, but we will find out later. Start is also potentually crucial.

Mac 1-2

I think thats really unlikely ;)

Well, I'm south west of Silverstone and south west of me is a thunderstorm with a nice band of rain along for the ride. About half an hour after it hits me - it hits Silverstone!

Could be fun!

Expecting a bore fest wit merc one two and one of the wiliams on the podium.

Kimi to finish ahead of vettel easily. He has had the edge all weekend and his race pace was on par with vettel's so far.

Still hope for a somehow exciting race...

Not sure what's being shown on TV but the British drivers were dropped off at Stowe for interviews before getting lifts back to the pits...except Lewis stayed behind signing autographs and then jogged back past Club where I am sat - cue cheering, clapping, hooting and chanting from the crowd, fun scenes :)

JB also got a great reception as he hung out the side of the van James Bond style!

Lastly the entire stand just shook...these F1 engines have nothing on Tornados!
