Brian Redman and his grand daughter Victoria getting ready to lead the street Parade on Friday night.

That's David Jacobs giving  Brian the finer points of the car.

The car is the ex Chuck Jones Lancer Lola.

I asked Victoria how she liked riding into town with Papa, she said Brian said the Escort was going to slow.

Dan Davis trying out Tom Hollfelder's 1971 512 Ferrari

That is Tom giving Dan a hand out of the car.

Tom and Bea Hollfelder had a party on Wednesday for the CanAm Group, it was held at their Elkhart Lake home and everyone who attended had a great time.

A party favorite was the Margarita machine made for Tom by his neighbor Jerry.

That is CanAm entrant Lou Casazza trying it out. Jay Esterer getting ready for a Margarita.

Jerry probably wouldn't remark on it, but he returned to the cockpit of the same LANCER T-70 Lola for a few laps at The 2015 Elkhart lake historics this year after a few decades and did some laps.  I'll try to post a photo later unless someone else  has one.  Congrats Jerry!!!!

Jay Esterer winner of the F-5000 race.

I did get a chance to practice in the Lancer Lola and share it with David Jacobs and Ed Swart. It was a very nice car.

That is Paul Zazryn from Australia behind Jay's car, he finished a fine 2nd to Jay in the F-5000 event.

Jerry Entin in the Lancer Lola

My friend Chuck Jones owned this car in the day. Chuck Jones and his son Sean Jones were set to come to Elkhart Lake for the maiden running of the Lancer Lola. Chuck became ill and was in the hospital in Florida instead of Elkhart Lake.

The most fun we had with the car was at the street parade, letting young fans sit in it and take pictures and meeting old friends on the street and visiting with them.

It was a pleasure to get a chance to be a part of the Toluca Lake Restoration Group. Lilo Zicron and David Jacobs are Great to be around.

Jay Esterer's McLaren

Jay Esterer was leading the CanAm Group on Sunday when he had a half shaft failure. Craig Bennett in his Shadow then took over, he was driving with a badly injured hand, he received the injury in the F-5000 race, when several cars crashed on the front straight.

Craig Bennett then dropped out while leading and Rick Knoop was the winner of the CanAm Group.

The car suits you Jerry. You should try to get more drives.

I'm thinking there's a fair bit of understeer evident here...

I'm thinking that's the Pit entrance or exit?

Great images - many thanks.

I may be a bit picky here, (or uneducated, very possible), but the airbox on Paul Zazryn's Lola seems different than the normal Lola T332 airbox, and the first time I have seen the car in this form.

There were many different air boxes on Lolas back then. The Vel's-Parnelli Jones team cars used this kind of box for the first part of the 1974 season.

These cars are still very 'horny', tough looking cars. And with big blocks in particular are I suspect quite evil. I wanna drive one!

Not sure if light blue [The orange I love] is the ideal color for the Mc Claren but a very nicely presented car.

Sandra is a very talented but underrated driver. She drives very much in the spirit of VINTAGE racing and is the only lady in the hairy chested Group 6 field in her Cobra. She is also the only lady member of the 250GTO club ;)
