I'd watch it! Especially if they use Formula E cars.

Are horse riders athletes? Are dinghy sailors athletes?

In road racing they can just jump on another bike.
In track cycling, its game over.

Olympics are for athletes, racing drivers are not athletes, they might choose to be fit but it is hardly compulsory.
I'd like to see a non-fit driver try to compete.

One day I was thinking an IndyCar race in Boston (if the race is still around in 2024) during the 2024 Olympics could be the Olympics' motorsport event.
Well, I don't have to think about that anymore as the Boston bid got dropped today.

NO. Especially the current F1, but not any other form or format of motor racing. It's a stupid idea, and would simply smear the Olympic notion. Saying that, no motor racing will never be an official Olympic event.

Motor racing was a demonstration sport at the 1900 Summer Olympics in Paris. I particularly like that one of the categories was for fire trucks, won by the American Gilbert Brown in an Ahrens-Fox.
How can we bring this back?

Personally I think it should be in the Olympics. I think they would have to have standardised parts, and maybe even set-up to allow for fair racing. Personally, I'm of the opinion that the Olympics should have as many sports within it as possible. Notable current omissions are Karate, Squash and Baseball, and I think Motorsport would add hugely to the spectacle if done correctly.

If they are given identical cars ,then its ok with me, wouldn't like to see it as a team related event.

If they are dedicated series to the Olympics then why not. I find the whole Olympics thing pretty boring, at least now I'd have a reason to watch it.

A hamstring going is pretty similar to a human hamstring going, imo, and both are partly genetic but also partly prep/training over the preceding decade by the rider/athlete - but change it to the gears in a bike or something on a boat and I'd take your point.
Apart from we don't shoot humans when they get injured during sporting events.

The Olympics for me is about amateur ir at the very least the illusion of amateur sport.
In theory anyone can do track and field, swim, dive, ride a horse, shoot a rifle, launch an arrow, weightlift.
But motorsport at most levels is purely about money. Yes you need a horse to ride and a bow to arch and a gun to skeet, but car racing just seems too far from amateur.
The car does some of the work, a larger percentage than most sports maybe.
Perhaps the only real motorsport you could have in Olympics is karting. But even that at top levels is insanely expensive.
I think in reality any sport where the state of your machinery largely can decide the outcome of your medal is doomed. Human input in motorsport is not a precursor to victory, it certainly helps, but it is nothing compared to a runner, cyclist, swimmer or weighlifter.
