Weather
A front will move over central Hungary overnight on Saturday and in the early morning on Sunday, bringing the possibility for some storms. A few clouds from this front could linger in the area as the sun rises, but these clouds should dissipate before midday. There is only a slight threat for rainfall during the afternoon, with a few isolated showers possible in the area. Overall, we expect the race to be dry and windy, with a strong wind from the northwest behind the front and a cooler high temperature of 29 C.

-Who will be the first Mercedes "challenger"?
-How much positions will Massa win at the start?

Hoping for a Hamilton win, hope it's not easy though. Rosberg second, Vettel third.

Hoping for a P6/7 for Verstappen.

A bit afraid for the start with the Mercs all around him.

How do we think new starting procedures are going to affect the start? More big off the line differences and mayhem?

Overnight the circuit was hit by very heavy rain for three hours. So the circuit is green but will have a bit rubber after the support races today. The track temps are currently 25 ° C lower than yesterday. And the tailwind is currently quite heavy.

Vettel, Ricciardo and Raikkonen for third should be of interest. Thats about all there is to see here though ignoring reliability.

Hamilton will cruise to another win and for about the thirtieth time in his career claim it's his best ever drive . . . and Webber, sorry Rosberg will limp home to another uninspiring second, and the newspapers will have another 3 weeks of "how to fix broken F1" articles.

Or we might get lucky and it rains.

If it's a Merc 1-2 into T1, that's how it will stay for the duration of the race barring any reliability issues.

The race for P3 is going to be fierce between Seb, Dan and Kimi.

What are the chances of rain today?

My predictions:
1.ROS
2.VET
3.HAM ...a misstake somewhere and he runs wide which makes ROS take the lead.

BUT, RIC, MAL, VES, SAI, MER - tecnical problems/DNF.

I wish all a safe race !!

Praying that Seb gets a lightning start and goes from P3 to P1 then we'd have a race on our hands.

I think it will go Seb p3, Kimi p4. Ferrari still have a fundamentally faster and more flexible car.

Bernie sent a plane to Nice to pick the Bianchi family to Hungary. Nice of him to do that!

Watching the Gp2 race,  2nd on the dirty side are getting bad starts. Vettel may have a shot into the first corner.

I hope Lewis wins this race because in that case the statistics say that Kimi will finish 2nd! But all jokes aside, probably just a HAM-ROS-VET podium, but I also think Vettel might have a shot at the start to get ROS from his clean side of the grid.

In the GP3 race the 2nd on the dirty side won the start and the race (and the pole sitter was out on lap 2). So it doesn't mean anything. The track is green now so the difference between dirty and clean side is very low.

I hope Vettel can overtake 1 or even 2 Mercs at the start, at least to have some action at the start before the snorefest begins.

Just watching the GP2 race thats on at the moment. P2 was terrible off the start, but then I think some of that was down to the driver.

When GP3 started all track was green. Now after GP3, GP2 and soon Porsche there will be difference.

Rosberg off the podium with 2 Ferraris between him and race winner Hamilton.

Kimi to run an alternate strategy resulting in his last stint run on soft tyres and he will pass both Rosberg and Vettel to come home P2.

Hamilton
+18 secs Kimi
+30 secs Vettel
+32 secs Rosberg

I haven't been to the forums in a while, but I'd like to say I hope today's race will be as good as it was in Silverstone, wich was definitely the best race of the season so far. I'm hoping for a Ricciardo vs Vettel vs Rosberg battle, with Hamilton getting his first grand chelem, who knows.

Will both McLaren's finish or will another issue force them into retirement? This was supposed to be their best chance of genuine points, according to them.

A mistake somewhere where he runs wide doesn't explain how Vettel would be able to beat him.

During the first lap?

HA!

I almost hoped Hamilton was going to be caught out by the red flag yesterday and have to start 11th. This was my favourite race last year, not too optimistic for today though.

Their simulator is child play compare to mine. My program doesn't panic like theirs did in Monaco and mine doesn't listen to drivers at all. My program always calls the shots by itself and it is antiJinx too

Congratulations to everyone at McLarenHonda. This will be a sweet victory.

Ricciardo has a extra set of fresh softs compared to the Ferraris

Could this be key?

Can Ricciardo do Quali softs - Meds - New Softs whereas Vettel as to do Quali softs - Meds - Used Softs?

I need to go out for lunch so I'm missing the race live (which is slightly annoying given its the only one in 7 weeks)  so I'll watch the recording later,  but I'm not that gutted. Just goes to show really...

Hopefully should be a good battle between Seb-DanR-Kimi for the last podium spot.  Lewis to win a good 20 seconds ahead of Rosberg.  At least 1 McHonda in the points would be good, Alonso is a boss around this track so he might be the one to watch(if he survives the 1st lap charge).

According to Greenpeace/IPCC, 2 degrees is enough to end the world!
