Where Force Indias problems in Hungary a result of its financial issues?

The midfield teams like Force India money issues are well documented. So Im just wondering if this is leading to lacking quality control or running 

parts longer then they should a bit like Catreham in Russia last year http://www.bbc.com/s...rmula1/29658585

Ferrari also had a wing failure so the answer to that question is no

Doubtful. The front wing assembly would have gone through crash and loading tests. If the same model was using in Silverstone, then its probably GP specific - as Hulkenberg said.

Bits falling off cars isn't really all that unusual. Off the top of my head I can think of Sauber in Brazil '00, Minardi in Spain in '02 and Villeneuve's rear wing failure during his BAR debut. It's not necessarily a midfield/backmarker problem as Raikkonen's McLaren also had a rear wing failure in Spain '02 and once again at Hockenheim two years later. Hulkenberg's crash was very reminiscent of Barrichello's crash for Ferrari when one of his wheels detached at the same corner.

They only introduced their "B" chassis at Silverstone. Back in the day these problems would have surfaced during testing.

Yes. They ran out of superglue to hold the wing parts together.

If the answer was 'yes' they shouldn't be on the grid.

It wasn't just the front wing. Perez had a rear suspension failure in his crash in FP1. Remember Force India withdrew from FP2 to examine their cars.

Regardless of the reasons for it even Nico can take heart in the facts that:

 

- the team making parts on the mechanical limit (light=fast)

- and the front wing is creating enough downforce to pull itself off the nose

Didn't Kimi have a wing failure during FP and a camera mount fly off during the race? I'd put it down to the curbing at the Hungaroring..

No it wont, no one ever test at the Hungaroring and since we've never seen anything like this (toe link and front wing at FI, front wing and camera at Ferrari) anywhere else we can be fairly certain it's track specific.

This is racing where component failure is regular. Critical systems for driver protection usually have a safety factor built in, but for the rest of the car, if it doesn't break it's too heavy and needs to be redesigned to be lighter.

 

The front wing failure occurred at maximum speed, where the loading was at it's maximum. If it had not happened in Hungary, it would have most likely failed in one of the long straights at Spa. Or Monza, those tracks are very fast and also have curbs that require bumping over.
