So very sad...I had Flagged some of Bills races and had a lot of respect for his consistency and skill...which made me usually enjoy any race he was in...condolences to his family and friends.

While I had heard of Bill Pye I really did not know who he was. I googled his name and he was very well performed in a range of cars, and I have actually seen him make up the numbers near the front on a couple of times. Shows I am out of touch. I in fact saw him with the incar [Dicks Mustang] on Speedweek a couple of weeks ago.
A very sad event and my condolences to his family and friends. It appears that motorracing is actually far safer than aircraft with the number of competitors killed over the years.
