So I have a feeling this one is going to be a bit of a landslide, based on the bias of this forum towards F1 and the fact that Hungary was easily one of the best races this year, but let's keep the trend going anyway. :p

The Iowa Corn 300 was pretty good, Milwaukee was probably one of the most-exiciting 'total domination' races we've seen in a while, and from what I understand, NASCAR at Indy wasn't all that bad either. Plus, we had Tudor at Mosport, which turned out to have a pretty good fight for the lead at the end.

What were your favourites this month? :)

The vast majority voting in this thread will not have seen all of the listed races, so the poll result won't say sh*t.

Saying that Hungary is one of the best races of the year isn't saying much, but it was a legitimately good race.. regardless of which season it is.

It was a little bit sloppy in some ways but to me racing will always be better when people are pushing the edge or taking risks, as opposed to just going through the motions.

Considering the season Indycar's had this year, I think it says a lot.

Seb was the racer of the month of July.
Superb decision making and super agressive in the races.

Good idea for a regular thread.

...Even if the F1 race of the month is almost always going to be voted as the best. :p

I only watched the open-wheel and MotoGP races in their entirety this month. The IndyCar races at Milwaukee and Newton were good, but my vote goes to the Hungarian GP. I have to wonder ... if one detects a bias towards F1 in this regard, why bother with a pole? Perhaps you should make it a "Other Than F1, Which Was The Best Race" pole.

I thought about that, but I did this last month and the two F1 races had something like 5 votes between them; Indycar, FE, etc. all got a tonne of votes. If Hungary was good, it deserves to win the poll. :)

My vote goes to F1 as well. The Hungarian GP was awesome.

I enjoyed DTM at Zandvoort, that chaotic second WTCC race at Vila Real, Bourdais win at the Milwakee Mile, the Mosport Sportscar race was fun too especially at the end and I loved the Speedway Grand Prix at Cardiff.

I didn't get to see the Spa 24 Hours. I need to watch the highlights of that race. And I also need to watch the Lime Rock race and the ELMS 4 hours at Spielberg.

Nascar at Indy. It had balloons. Motor racing needs more balloons.

I actually enjoyed that race. Weird for a Nascar race at the Brickyard.

You forgot the 24 hours of Spa, it wasn't great but it should be on the list.

I didn't see many of the races listed, as I'm way behind on watching Indy Car - but I'll vote for the British F1 Grand Prix.

Even if Mercedes won again, I felt it was a more interesting and exciting race than the Hungarian Grand Prix, in which much of the excitement came from clumsy driving and a safety car neutralization.
