I think it was an excellent recovery drive. I don't know what happened at the start and where the blame lay.

Sorry though for choosing somebody other than Lewis as the best driver. I know it isn't really allowed but I've always been a bit of a rebel.

Don't you understand how difficult that is? It takes skill  :p
And it WAS Ericsson, not Nasr.

They went four wide into turn 1 and he tried to avoid contact by both braking and driving completely of the track on to the curb, but i guess the Lotus didn't know he was there.

You could argue that Ericsson shouldn't have put his nose in there to begin with, but you know what Ayrton Sennas said...

On the evidence of those frames, it would appear to have been one of those instances where a more experienced and intelligent driver (I'm thinking Alonso) would have seen that the gap was always going to close due to the first-lap crowding and the acute nature of the first chicane itself.  I'm afraid my opinion of Ericsson isn't very positive - I've seen too many daft errors and cases of poor awareness (his blocking during qualifying being the most recent example) to consider him a potential consistent race-winner.

I'm thinking, "ALL THE TIME YOU HAVE TO LEAVE A SPACE!"

This race had all the ingredients to be a very exciting one but didn't happen.

All right, so we can blame Senna for every bonehead try ever since  :D

Vanilla milkshake of a race.

Vanilla milkshakes are the hallmark of quality. I think you mean: past expiry, cheap brand, not closed properly vanilla powder, while hiding from zombies in the dark.

Best Driver (cheaters excluded) Sebastian Vettel
Worst Driver: Maldonado
Best Team: Williams
Best Overtakes: -
Best Moment: nope.
DRS + Tyres: DRS zone on the main straight too short

And the race in a sentence: When the post-race is more exciting than the race itself.... borefest.

3/10

I bet you regret the cheaters excluded comment now right? Never make a judgement without all the facts.

it's MONZA so it is incredible..

The racing..not so much. Another parade..with some midly interesting mid pack "action"..

Otherwise..

A beautiful wonderful site at risk of abandonment by the ancient gnome..and his shortsighted greed.

And he went off track once.

I believe he was run off by .... Nasr (I think).

^ Kimi? He had the worst start in the history of the sport, and was slower in every lap than Vettel.

Of course he was slower, he was in traffic the whole time.

The race weekend was brutal for me ..... Lotus bankruptcy, Nico's engine, Kimi's start, tire pressures. I didn't fall asleep ... almost wish I had.

Thank god for DVR really no point in watching theses races live for the rest of the season. If Lewis is on pole and leads off the line pretty much race over after a few laps. And beating Vettel who won 2 races this year and has the 2nd best car by 25 sec is crazy. Hope 2017 comes quickly because other than Haas F1 coming in 2016 its going to be the same boring thing all over again.
