Degner turns (8 and 9) at Suzuka are always catching drivers out. Those are probably the most difficult turns in F1 nowadays imo.

Degner (1) is very tricky in that that it is not very tricky. It is a fast corner that looks slow and when you learn that it is fast you have to let go of your "feeling" and just use your brain. The brain must tell you exactly when it is is time to turn in and you must obey without a hint of hesitation. Strange corner. You either get though it or you don't, so to speak :)

Toughest corner in racing right now is the one F1 faces in trying to get back to somewhere it ought to be. Its spun on the way down the escape road so many times it doesn't know the right direction to rejoin.

Oh and the other one is the 90 degree left at the end of the meat section in my local supermarket. I take the ideal line every time just clipping the apex but always encounter some idiot meandering back from behind a fridge the wrong way, having forgotten something from the personal hygiene section.

I'm English though so I obviously apologise, say it was my fault and then stew on what happened for the rest of the day.

Isn't it amazing how many of the "toughest corners" there are at Suzuka?

Suzuka is just a masterpiece and the crown jewel of F1 racing circuits imho.
